I recently visited Firdouse at 11:30 PM and had a mixed experience. The restaurant was crowded, and we had to wait for an hour to get seated, followed by another 30-minute wait for our food.
The ambiance was good, with comfortable seating and extremely cold air conditioning - it was almost freezing! However, the service was average, and the delays were frustrating.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including noodles, grilled chicken kebabs, naan, and parota. The noodles were average in taste, but the grilled chicken kebabs were exceptional. The naan was unfortunately hard, unlike their usual standard. The parota, on the other hand, was delicious.
One area that required improvement was the hygiene and cleanliness of the tables and plates. It would be great to see the restaurant pay more attention to this aspect.
The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. We were able to enjoy the gravy with our meal, which was also tasty.
Overall, I would give Firdouse 3 out of 5 stars. While the food was mostly good, the delays, average service, and hygiene concerns let them down. Hopefully, they will improve their service standards and cleanliness...
Read moreWent there to order Shawarma, 3 times, over a month. Spent around ₹1200 totally at this place.
I liked the paratha shawarma the first time, as the parathas were freshly made. In fact, the parathas were so hot when those fellows brought it from the kitchen, they could not touch it for a couple minutes. The shawarma tasted very good then. The reason why I went there again... and again.
Subsequently, the second time (a week or so later), ordered the same thing. The parathas they used must have been made some hours back. The taste was very disappointing (the texture of stale parathas...man).
A couple weeks after that, thought of giving this place another try. Big mistake. Told the cashier clearly about my previous experience with stale parathas, and asked for freshly made parathas.
The guy came out and told the shawarma guy to heat (only heat?) the parathas. I even told the shawarma cook to bring fresh parathas from the kitchen. They obviously don't listen to customer requests.
The parathas used were simply reheated. They tasted marginally better than the second time (see above).
Overall, they lost a potentially regular customer who spent...
Read moreI would have given a rating of 5, but during our last two visits, the service was so poor. The staff seems overly focused on taking care of customers who have already ordered or those who are well-known to them. They didn't even acknowledge the others who were waiting for hours. When I questioned the waiter, he responded carelessly, and my order was not taken properly either. The more we visit the restaurant, the longer it takes for them to take our orders. The waiter is not even willing to listen when we ask for any additional items. I understand that the restaurant is often crowded, but at the very least, they should attend to customers with a little bit of sincerity, right? I am totally disappointed by their recent service. On a positive note, the food is literally 100 percent recommended, and the ambiance is good too. However, we have to wait, and if there are no tables available, we need to check for availability ourselves. We have to secure our seats as they are busy serving those who have...
