Mount Road Social — Restaurant in Zone 9 Teynampet

The waiting staff was absolutely the worst. Horrible service on their part. They were so unnecessarily rude to us when we were asking for our table that we had reserved the previous day. We had to wait for nearly an hour to be seated and that too, we had to scour the whole place for a table by ourselves as despite reserving a table, we weren't allocated one. And when we DID find a table, it was left unclean with beer bottles and food spilled all over the table. For the first 15 minutes none of the staff bothered to clean up despite us asking them politely to do so. They were giving out tables that could fit 5+ people for couples and singles instead and we were stuck having to wait until 8 pm for a table despite reserving a table earlier AND being on time. Staff was exceptionally rude when asked for help and we weren't even given plates with our food until asked. They also expressed disgust on their faces and walked away when asked to redo the LIIT that was lacking in alcohol and drowning in lemon syrup. Alcohol is also quite watered down except for the LIIT which is why we were so disappointed when they had given us a very watered down drink. Safe to say, alcohol-wise, you won't be getting your money's worth here. We had come to Mount Road Socials quite a few times and every single time they have only left us with disappointment. The staff was not equipped to handle clients properly and this was on a weekday, when they're less crowded as well. Even if the place was crowded, it is still no excuse to be so lacking in service quality as many other bars and clubs are able to handle such crowds with ease. As for the food, it were quite delicious. Especially the butter garlic momos and the poutine (Salchipapa). Sadly, the waiter spilled the chilli sauce and ketchup all over the table while bringing it and did not replace it. The waiter also did not provide more than one bowl of sauce for a table consisting of 4 people and we had to ASK for the sauces as we weren't provided any of it with the food. Be careful of coming to this place as reserving tables clearly does not mean anything in this restaurant/bar. I would not advise coming to this place as service is horrible which is such a shame since the actual food served was really good. The people at the bar were also not really responding but at least they kept a level head and were able to treat us politely unlike the waiting staff. This place needs to train their staff better so as to avoid future mess ups like this, otherwise the rating of this restaurant will...

Having been to branches in Mumbai, Bangalore and now Chennai, this has to be the LEAST COMFORTABLE dining experience by far of all of them! And before you wonder why, it isn't because of the food...that is absolutely on par with all the other outlets...the single one thing which absolutely ruins the experience is the god-awful dj....I mean honestly pumping up the volume to constant 95+decibel levels (which is not "normal" club culture by any stretch of imagination") does not create a party like experience but rather creates a horribly unpleasant experience for both your ears with the added "benefit" of being completely unable to even communicate with your friends and have what is considered as a "good" time! We'd read a review posted a week ago rating this place 1 star because apparently the dj was "bad" and we laughed it off while reading it initially but alas, it was true! Seriously, the higher management and especially the manager of such an establishment should take notice and take appropriate action. Correspondingly, this issue has also been forwarded to higher ups in the Socials chain of restaurants and hopefully they take the necessary steps...till then tho my personal recommendation for the general public is to STAY AWAY from this place unless you want to ruin a good evening.

It was an outing with my friend in the afternoon. Being a weekday it was pretty empty and hence can have a nice time or else I felt it can be bit Cosy once every table gets filled up. No precise dance floor but u can enjoy the beats. The interior is very warm. Pink lights, couches, swimming pool theme, cute plants. I didn't liked the outdoor facility, a bit messy which also works as your smoking zone. Entrance to this place can be through the Express Avenue Mall or from the front ( parking area entrance) No need to call and wait for someone to attain you. Food or drinks anything will be served at your alloted table number once order is placed by code scanner. Even you can pay online. That's really very fast & smart way. Coming to the food. Options were minimal. Price is okay though but taste is very average. Nothing much to appreciate. We had * Nachos. It was quite good & cheesy. Butter Garlic Chicken. Crispy. Tastes average. Chilli chicken China Box. Comes with Noodles and Chilli chicken with an egg poch. Enough to share for two. But spicy and too much saucy. Alongwith this we had chilled beer. Overall nice ambiance. Good...
