Express Avenue — Local services in Zone 9 Teynampet

Express avenue(EA), one the best super hi-class Shopping complex with Cinema arcade in the city. If u want to do branded shopping and watch movie without wasting much time roaming around the city in Traffic, this is the right place.

I visit this complex very often, at-least 1 to 2 times a month for shopping.

But I have watched only 2 movies at ==Escape theaters which is run by Sathyam Cinemas==.

The ==Theater movie screening is Automatic==. That means the no operator room and the Movie playing is Automatic.  The ==Escape has 8 screens== and is Centrally Air-conditioned. The Cinema complex has Large underground Parking lot and Restaurants.

Pros -

The complex has both branded Shopping facility and Cinema screens.

Clean Theaters and everything else is neatly maintained.

Large 3-Level basement Parking lot can hold over 2000 vehicles.

Simple Ticket booking including online booking.

Very clean toilets.

Escalators and lots of lift facilities.

the large free open space in the center of the complex hosts programs like Indoor games, Dance programs, Auto Fair shows, etc.

8. Whole mall is Centrally Air-conditioned.

Cons -

No much Cons. Only these 2 I felt are.

Complex ==entry fee is very high==(parking fee).  But no parking assistance is done. And the parking staff are not cooperative either.

very very ==less seating facility available== in the shopping complex for relaxing. This causes inconvenience for aged people who can not stand/walk for longer durations.

3. ==Really Crowded all the time==.  Reason is, all type of people like Shoppers, Movie goers, Chit chatters, Hi class Couples and Friends groups(Who usually r there just to roam), all visit this place just at the cost of Parking ticket. And those who don’t own Vehicles, for them Its free!   So even Passer-bys walk into the mall to enjoy the A/c.

4. I Felt that the branded Products(which are supposed to be of same cost every where) are sold there at heavy price when compared to other places.  For example, I was looking to buy a pair of AA rechargeable batteries.  I inquired at one the Shops at EA and they costed Rs.650.  I bought the same product at Spencer plaza for Rs.480!

So, my Advice is, ==If u got money, u can go here for Shopping==. Otherwise, if u got a camera and GFs, u can enjoy the place either the other way.

==Overall==, the Shopping complex(EA) and the theater Complex(Escape) are the best in the city....
