I recently visited here in Bali and had the pleasure of trying their Ayam Sambal Matah accompanied by a cup of Balinese coffee. The experience was delightful from start to finish.
The Ayam Sambal Matah was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, while the sambal matah added a wonderful kick with its fresh and spicy flavors. The combination of lemongrass, shallots, and chilies in the sambal matah was both fragrant and vibrant, making each bite a burst of flavor. The dish was beautifully presented alongside a portion of steamed rice and fresh vegetables, which complemented the spicy chicken perfectly.
As for the Balinese coffee, it was a great choice to round off the meal. The coffee was rich and aromatic, with a robust flavor that paired well with the savory dish. It was served in a traditional setting, which added to the overall authentic Balinese experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, offering a perfect blend of local culture and a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. Sitting by the open-air section, I enjoyed a relaxing view of the street outside, which added to the overall dining experience.
Overall, my meal at [Restaurant Name] was fantastic. The combination of flavorful food, excellent coffee, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot in Bali. Whether you're a fan of spicy dishes or simply looking to enjoy some local flavors, this place should be...
Read moreSmall, lovely cozy restaurant in a quiet street. Great variety of vegetarian/vegan food prepared with love for very reasonable prices (15% discount during covid too). Tasty dishes, we ate there every day for 1 week before running out of vegetarian options. The food is delicious, exotic, tasty, cooked to perfection. Lots of tofu or tempeh dishes, love their peanut butter and dark coconut sauce that accompany some of the dishes. Their purple mashed potatoes with a touch of garlic is one of my favorites. We love their banana leaves steak, their veggie curry, their veggie burger with Ginger dressing. They also have a delish pumpkin soup 9n the menu and their green crepes (made with the flour of a local green plant) with banana & coconut as a dessert beats it all. Eka and the owners are so friendly, they are happy to accommodate you if you have special requests. The beauty of Bali Soul is that the taste remains constant, always wonderful. Delivery is also possible, same great taste. We keep returning to them and highly recommend them if you are looking for tasty...
Read moreOver-promised, under-delivered. This was our second attempt at breakfast, the first time they didn't have avocados (Hello! Avos are everywhere on Bali!) and we moved on. Today we tried again because of their great looking fruit bowls. This time they didn't have fresh milk, so no cappuccino or latté, unless we "upgraded" to coconut milk for an extra charge. No fresh milk? In a restaurant that advertises to be serving fresh fruit juices every day? The coffees were served nicely then in beautifully designed cups, which are quite small though. We ordered the tropical bowl and the protein healthy bowl. They were served 10 minutes apart from each other. Not that the place was busy, we were the only customers this Wednesday morning. As to the atmosphere, the place is tastefully decorated, but why do they have to crank up the music as if they wanted to overpower the traffic outside? In the end we received a 10% voucher for our next visit. Not coming back though, there are a lot of less...
