My boyfriend and I spent 7 beautiful days here and I can honestly say this has been the most wonderful, light, and pleasant experience of our entire time in Bali.
The resort itself is incredibly beautiful. You are surrounded by nature, with calm music playing, an amazing infinity pool, a sauna, and even a jacuzzi where you can relax no matter the weather. From our balcony, we wake up to a stunning view every day…
To be honest, I still don’t understand why this hotel doesn’t have five stars — it truly deserves them. The service here is far beyond what you often find even in world-renowned luxury hotels.
We’ve had breakfasts and dinners here and enjoyed a wonderful massage. Of course, Ubud is full of great cafés, spa salons, and countless activities — from rice terraces to Mount Batur. You can even rent a motorbike directly here at the resort and go explore the surroundings. But the truth is, I often didn’t even want to leave this place. And whenever we did go out, we always found ourselves eager to return as soon as possible to this calm, safe, and beautiful retreat.
Most importantly, it’s the people who make this place unforgettable. Every member of the team is kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They feel like family — or perhaps we have become part of theirs during our stay. They constantly ask how they can improve our experience, what else they could do, always smiling and always friendly. Through them, we have experienced the Balinese soul — warmth, kindness, and sincere hospitality. We have never felt this level of care anywhere else, not even in the most famous five-star hotels.
The resort is tucked away from traffic and noise, making it peaceful and comfortable. Even during the recent heavy rains and floods in Bali, here in Ubud we felt completely safe — the water never reached us.
We are deeply grateful for the experience this resort has given us. It’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place of peace, comfort, and renewal. For us, it’s exactly how we imagined Bali —...

After lots of sun, sea, and activities, we wanted a peaceful jungle experience — and this was exactly it! The huts are beautiful, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The staff are incredibly kind, from the blessing during check-in to carrying our luggage up the stairs to the rooms and everything in between.
It’s not a commercial or pushy kind of place — by the pool nobody comes around constantly to take orders. Honestly, that was quite relaxing, though sometimes you do feel like ordering something. Thankfully, WhatsApp with the reception worked perfectly and Ana was always quick to respond. From the second day on, they even came by to check on us without asking. They quickly learn your preferences and anticipate them the next day — so thoughtful!
We spent three relaxing days at the pool, only leaving once in the afternoon since we had already done most activities in Ubud. The hotel even did my laundry so I could pack everything clean into the suitcase for home — a true luxury for any mom!
And the highlight: lying by the pool and watching monkeys in the trees across the valley. Simply fantastic. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and authentic Balinese warmth, this...

We spent 8 nights at Kayuan Lumbur Resort. I'd like to start by mentioning that the staff was very polite, friendly, and quick to respond to our requests. It was our honeymoon, and we felt very good. Besides that, the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel was excellent. We had massages at the hotel four times, and most of them were above average. The prices are slightly above the Bali average when taxes and service charges are added, but it’s worth it because the ambiance of the massage area is very nice. The hotel breakfast may be sufficient for those staying for 3-4 days, but if you stay longer like us, you might get a bit bored with the four options. However, there was no issue with the taste or service. We also ordered room service for dinner, and I would say it was average. Since there are many options in Bali, we later preferred to order through an app. As for the location of the hotel; it is actually very close to the Ubud center and next to the Monkey Forest as the crow flies, but because there is a river in between, you have to take a U-shaped route, which can take up to 40 minutes during traffic hours. The road leading to the hotel is a bit narrow, which might be challenging for inexperienced drivers. It was an enjoyable experience. Thanks to...
