Cocktails amazing, food amazing, service amazing, ambience amazing - 5 stars in every way.
We had little trouble finding the place due to slightly incorrect location on maps and dark entrance but once you enter the gate, you are immediatly wowed by the courtyard and the ambience. We arrived early so waited on the bar, had a Basil Gin Sour and Smoked Whiskey Sour. Gin sour was really nice with broad flavors and celebrating basil. I love whiskey sour and this was a good, perfectly sour, but wasn't smoky for me. Probably would have been more smoky buy using heavily peated whiskey.
Food was amazing too, We started by having kachori pockets. This is a classic street food from india and served in a classy way. Stuffed potato and onion with tamrind sauce were really tasting well. Mains we had Aloo Tandoori and Daal Makhni with Garlic Naan. Every dish was cooked well and served in good quantities, its very hard to find good daal makhni outside india but these guys have nailed the flavors. Daal was nice and creamy while aloo was dry it had still much flavor and smokeyness that a curry was not needed. Bread was also cooked well.
I wish i could try desserts but we were way to full to eat anything after it. Highly recommended when you are in Bali for a nice dinner date or fancy dinner with friends. Will be back when ever i'm...

My bf and I had starters, main and dessert and they are all lovely, never disappointed. For starters we had the duck salad (similar to som tam but instead it comes with duck) and the shredded lamb (similar to eating Peking duck) - a little on the spicier end ; main I had barramundi and my bf had the beef. The beef, despite slow cooked for 8 hours, has a crunchy outer layer and it's soft in the inside.
Drinks, please try the homemade ginger beer with orange. Its one of the best cocktail I've had.
Dessert, gosh! Just go for the SEA taster! It has 6-7 desserts and it's a little too much for us both that we had to take some away. Shall you would like to try individual dessert, go for the chocolate tart with coconut ice cream and candied orange peel. It's rich and creamy, yums! My bf loved the creme caramel with a Vietnamese twist while the pavlova is also lovely! See? That's why the taster set works best! And it's only 150,000 rph!
All the dishes costs less than 20 dollars. So, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, this place...
Read moreBeautifully complex flavours and a simply wonderful dining experience. Excellent value. Makes my 'top five' list of memorable dining experiences.
The owner of this restaurant has a wonderful vision for fine dining and incredible attention to detail. The setting, the music, the service; all exceptional. From beginning to end the experience was delightful and highly memorable. The desert menu was the best desert menu I've seen in my life. We couldn't decide!
Make a reservation, and dress up! No exposed shoulders or board shorts for the men. However they will offer a shirt (extra large) should you need it. Honestly, don't get hung up on the rules; the rules create the ambience and you'll appreciate the setting and feel they've created.
Try the vegetarian samosas and the rice tapioca desert! The wine was actually very fairly priced compared to what else is available in town at the supermarkets. The "cheaper" New Zealand wines on the menu come at about 650k, which is what you'd pay for (frankly) inferior wine...
