Burger Brothers Pererenan — Restaurant in Bali

Updated review for 2024: Been eating here for 4 years. They’ve opened a new venue in Canggu and brought in new management and customer service standards have gone down as a result.

This kind of thing often happens in Canggu. Very disappointing and I would recommend Daeng burger instead for now until they get things sorted out.

Original Review from 2020: Burger fiend. Been living in Canggu/Berawa and now Pererenan for nearly two years.

Came here for lunch after driving past a few times and seeing the cool decor.

Verdict? Best burger I’ve had since I got here. The bun, meat, cheese, mayo and caremalised onions are perfect (I had the Brat Style burger).

Not cheap but definitely worth it. My new local favourite.

Props to Komang and Komang for their amazing work in the kitchen.

I’ve known this place for a long time and until the last visit I was ready to swear that this is the best burgers in Bali.

But it looks like I’ll never come back here again.

Everything that should be marinated has become... raw! The OG burger has become similar to a boring unleavened beet with a cutlet and an ordinary cucumber.

Jalapeno poppers now from fresh pepper KARL!!! You should try to bite it with a crunch.

The only thing that was normal was French fries, BUT even there, they began to put ordinary mayonnaise instead of the wonderful sauce that was before! It used to be alioli (if I’m not mistaken).

In general, the one who is responsible for this has made himself worse. The prices haven’t changed, it’s just as if the guys decided to save on groceries and made a «wretched» version of what they did best in Bali (I managed to try a lot of burgers, believe me).

price of burger 90k… but charged 135k because they said there’s a service charge 15%. i said ok but 15% is 103k… the guy was charging 50% on top, saying it’s the system… SCAM… pay attention the slippery cashiers. in the end after i corrected the system math, the total was 99k… still not the right amount but cheaper… i tipped 2k

UPDATE: ok, after hearing back from the owner, it's more clear that it wasn't a scam, but that the staff doesn't understand how the system works. I was asked if i wanted a combo, which owner says would cost 135k, and I clearly said NO, but staff tried to charge me full combo price anyway... so not SCAM, just INCOMPETENCE and owners don't seem to want to take any sort of accountability... instead, just they just tell me i'm wrong.
