Cést La Vie Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Bali

I’ve only at in my resort W bali for the short 3 days trip in Bali. Cest La Vie was the only time outside, and I got food poisoning and had such bad diarrhea for 12 times in one day. I could be wrong but hotels like W Bali 5 star resorts are extra careful to make sure these things don’t happen, and I didn’t felt any issue until i eat Cest La Vie. The food was yummy and good, I ordered chicken and beef satay, and Tom Yum soup, I swear is the fish chucks in Tom Yum soup that caused my issue, as my chicken and beef satay was grilled, hot and served with charcoal underneath. But those small chunks of fish the Tom yum soup looks very low quality, don’t know if it was stored and transported properly, and don’t even know if it’s cooked properly. If you guys don’t have those not so fresh looking fish inside the soup it will still be a good soup and lowering you guys’s risk of food poisoning like this. The place has high review but honestly it’s more a bar than restaurant, and that’s my mistake. I went in because of the good review but there are tons of better food options out there. Oh, la la! C'est La Vie Restaurant & Bar is like a slice of Paris right in our backyard, but with a twist - Riki and his team are the real stars of the show! 🌟

I'm convinced Riki is secretly a stand-up comedian moonlighting as a restaurant owner. He had me in stitches with his witty banter and charm. I couldn't tell if I was at a fine dining establishment or a comedy club, but I loved every minute of it!

And the food? Don't even get me started! Each bite was like a symphony in my mouth, a culinary masterpiece that left me wanting more. The cocktails? Let's just say I now have a new standard for mixology. 🍸

The vibe at C'est La Vie is so infectious; it's like a party that never ends, and you don't want it to! The atmosphere is electric, the music is toe-tappingly good, and the decor is Instagram-worthy at every turn. 📸

From the front, one would think that this is just another simple restaurant. It goes beyond that with excellent tasting meals topped up by top notch quality service. Was served by Mirna (thank you) and she had such a friendly and lively personality that makes one feel truly welcomed. She was so helpful and answered my queries so politely. The other staff also appeared to have a good coordination and were friendly.

They also have some live sports events playing on the TVs. Since they have a few, if it is a quiet time, they do not turn on all the TVs, so it’s up to you if you want to watch to simply request.

Portion sizes are really good and their juices are not too sweet (always easier to sweeten upon request but it’s by default perfect).

If you are in the non-smoking section (further in) you will be looking at the kitchen staff and they seemed to be in a nice flow state.
