Today my daughter & I visited the Cheeky Monkey Cafe and WOW is the first words that came to mind. This is a parents dream, to release there children in safe, interactive, play area - which was massive! Plus they had a pool there, so don’t forget to bring you bathers. The food choices was amazing and everything was delicious 😋 As soon as you enter, there is someone who greets you and opens the safety gate to welcome you into the cafe. Which put my mind at ease knowing that my daughter couldn’t wonder off. There are interactive activities on everyday. Today was face painting, learning how to make Traditional Balinese Offerings and Mini Mixologist (Strawberry drink) - just purchase a token for $10,000RP ($1AUD) per activity.
Zahra had the Hot Diggity Dog (Hot Dog) and it was so creative, how it was presented. I had the “Boost you Immune” Juice and the Curry Chicken Wrap, with a side of fries - 10/10 😋
This is such an awesome space for the digital nomad parents to work from and watch their kids play. Such a wonderful family friendly space, which is extremely safe and they have staff cleaning regularly.
All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend visiting this place for a date night, while your child go off to play. There are heaps of events for parents and children. Plus you can host parties there - winning!!
Go check out their instagram page and there full menu! All of the kids food is shaped to an animal or...
Read moreThis was the first local spot I visited after checking into my hotel next door. Upon arrival, it was clear that this cafe primarily focuses on kids. They have a playground and there was a birthday party going on, so the staff were entertaining the kids.
I asked if they were sure they could accommodate me, and they assured me that they could. I was seated in the back at the counter with view on the rice paddies. Not two minutes later, a random waiter brought me a drink that I did not order. Before I could even say something, he was already gone again. A few minutes go by as I try to flag down someone to place my order and point out the other item. I place my order and the waitress removes the other item, only to immediately put it in front of the correct customer. Now, for anyone in food service: If a dish or drink was mistakenly dropped off at the wrong table, that item should not just be moved to another able. You make a new one!
Meanwhile I ordered a pineapple juice and a burger. I had seen pictures of the burger buns, which look super puffy and homemade. What I received however was a wrinkly, stale mess. The cheese wasn't even melted on the burger. And the fries look like standard frozen supermarket fries. For 145k, this was a total joke.
For the ridiculously high prices they charge for everyday dishes, you'd expect a lot more quality. This was a one time visit for me; no need...
Read moreHad lunch here yesterday. Forgot my kindle at the restaurant. Realised it later and went back in the evening. The staff was very helpful but was unable to locate it which is unusual for Bali in my experience. I went the next day and Tammy, the owner, and Tari, one of staff members went above and beyond trying to locate it (even though is was entirely my fault). They checked the security cameras but my table was just out of view. Turns out that a school group comes their daily and they collected it thinking it might be one of their students or something, an entirely understandable thing. The owner asked them today and they realized and handed it over. So all of it was a misunderstanding and there was no intentional malice (as is usually the case in Bali). It was due to Tammy and Tari's efforts that it was...
