The Kalyana Restaurant at Tejaprana Bisma was an unexpected pleasure. After finding the restaurant at our hotel (Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud) severely disappointing, we tried Kalyana for dinner and loved it so much that we returned the next day. A sampler plate of Indonesian food was the highlight. Our other plates were also quite good, but the rendang was less exciting than elsewhere around Bali. Happy hour offers an excellent price on cocktails, which were somewhat better than the usual poor Indonesian offerings.

Surprisingly, Kalyana has reasonable prices. Better than many other places we ate...
