Visited in May 2025. Bali. Ubud. Nestled within the premises of a hotel, this restaurant boasts a breathtaking panoramic view and a chic, stylish interior that evokes the charm of a sophisticated French bistro. The ambiance is both inviting and elegant, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. FOOD: The menu, while not extensive, focuses on European cuisine with a comforting, approachable flair. Expect a selection of pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and a handful of inventive appetizers. We began with two starters, both of which were nothing short of exceptional. The watermelon tataki, styled like tuna, was a revelation—its creative presentation and meticulously crafted flavors were a triumph. Never would I have imagined watermelon could be transformed into such an intriguing dish, its texture uncannily reminiscent of fresh tuna. Equally impressive was the smoked salmon riette, masterfully prepared with a delicate smoky flavor and a velvety-smooth texture. Paired with lightly warm crackers, it was a harmonious delight. For the main course, we opted for the lobster spaghetti, where the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente—smooth, springy, and flawless. Initially, the sauce seemed sparse, leaving the dish slightly dry, but with each bite, its subtle, buttery embrace revealed a thoughtful balance that allowed the pasta’s natural flavor to shine, complemented by delicate seasoning. The lobster itself was impeccably cooked—tender, juicy, with a faintly creamy texture that I adore. However, the chicken burger was a disappointment. Despite a well-balanced ensemble of soft buns, crisp vegetables, and a well-chosen sauce, the scant portion of chicken left the dish feeling more like a vegetable burger. For an establishment of this caliber, such a misstep was surprising and detracted from an otherwise stellar meal. SERVICE: The service was warm and genuinely friendly, though it leaned slightly sluggish at times. Our appetizers took longer than expected to arrive, but the staff’s attentiveness and the overall welcoming vibe of both the restaurant and hotel left a positive impression. VERDICT: This restaurant is a gem, offering a stunning view, approachable yet refined European fare, and a polished dining experience. With reasonable prices, amiable service, and nearly all dishes delivering on flavor, it’s a place I’d heartily recommend. A special nod goes to the beautifully designed menu, complete with vivid imagery that sparks both appetite and imagination before the first bite is even savored.

Wild Air Restaurant provided us with an exceptional dining experience that surpassed all expectations. From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the sense of peace that enveloped us, thanks to the lush greenery and minimalistic interior. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Oh, it was simply exquisite! We embarked on a culinary journey, trying out various dishes, and each one was a delightful surprise. The beef tartar was a revelation - perfectly seasoned and tender, it melted in our mouths, leaving us craving for more. The wagyu beef was nothing short of extraordinary, a true indulgence that showcased the chef's skill and expertise. The tuna avocado tartar was a refreshing and harmonious blend of flavors, a dish that highlighted the use of fresh ingredients. It was a delightful appetizer that awakened our taste buds. Equally impressive was the salmon couscous, a flavorful and nourishing option that catered to our love for seafood. What elevated the entire dining experience was the strategic seating arrangement. Opting for a corner seat allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the gastronomic journey. As the gentle breeze caressed our faces, it seemed as if nature itself was blessing our meal. The ambiance, combined with the fantastic food, created a harmonious symphony that delighted all our senses. The service at Wild Air Restaurant deserves commendation too. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing us with insightful recommendations that enhanced our dining adventure even further. In conclusion, Wild Air Restaurant is a true gem that offers not only a culinary extravaganza but also a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The greenery and minimalist interior provide a sense of serenity that complements the incredible dishes on offer. The beef tartar, wagyu beef, tuna avocado tartar, and salmon couscous were all delectable highlights that left a lasting impression. For an unforgettable gastronomical experience that includes a touch of nature's magic, Wild Air Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We cannot wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again.

Nestled atop a verdant hill in Ubud, Habitat at Kaamala Villas offers an unforgettable dining experience with views as mesmerizing as its menu. During my stay, I indulged in both dinner and breakfast here, each meal a unique celebration of flavors and nature’s beauty. Dinner was an exquisite affair. With the sun setting over the lush Ubud forests, the atmosphere was both enchanting and intimate. The menu was a showcase of refined flavors: Arancini: Perfectly crisp risotto balls with minced beef, truffle anchovies mayo, and a delightful hint of smoked paprika and black truffle. Salmon Rillette: A delicate dish of salmon roe, dill, pickles, and fried pasta, balancing freshness and texture. Carbonara: A classic done right—linguine with pancetta, organic egg, and creamy grana padano. Wood-Fired Pork Collar: Smoked to perfection, served with cauliflower purée, charred kale, and a tangy mustard sauce. For breakfast, Habitat takes things to another level with their stunning floating breakfast, which can be enjoyed in the pool or hot tub—an experience both indulgent and surreal, especially with the mist and clouds hovering over the valley. Our breakfast highlights included: Kimchi Tuna Bibimbap: A hearty, flavorful bowl with rice, fermented kimchi, sesame oil, seaweed, and a kick of red chili. Breakfast Burrito: Packed with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mozzarella, and a zesty chili jam, wrapped in a warm tortilla. Pistachio Cinnamon Toast: A sweet delight with cinnamon toast, strawberries, black grapes, and crushed pistachios, drizzled with maple syrup. The infinity pool adds yet another layer of luxury to the experience, making Habitat a destination for both culinary excellence and breathtaking views. Whether it's dinner under the stars or a serene breakfast above the clouds, this restaurant captures the heart of Ubud’s magic.
