I recently had the pleasure of dining at Da Roma in Canggu, Bali, and I must say, it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. This Italian gem has captured my heart with its captivating ambiance and an array of delectable dishes that truly transport you to the heart of Italy.

To begin this gastronomic adventure, we indulged in the Buratta and Mushroom Soup for our appetizer. The burrata was velvety and fresh, paired perfectly with the earthy and rich flavors of the mushroom soup. It was a symphony of textures and tastes that left our taste buds dancing in delight.

For the main course, we had the Seafood Spaghetti and Alfredo Pasta. The Seafood Spaghetti was a seafood lover's dream come true - a generous medley of succulent shrimp, tender calamari, and perfectly cooked mussels, all nestled in a bed of perfectly al dente spaghetti and drenched in a delightful tomato sauce. The Alfredo Pasta, on the other hand, was a creamy masterpiece that melted in our mouths with every bite. First came to this restaurant. Immediately presented with a warm and very hommy feel. Old interior with typical Italian house decoration ornaments.

As soon as we sat down we were greeted very friendly accompanied by a welcome dish of Da Remeo's signature Bread sourdough which was baked in an Italian restaurant's oven, so that the distinctive aroma of the grilled products was appetizing. This bread is very crunchy combined with Da Romeo's signature oil dressing. Thank you for the complimentary bread.

Burrata Cheese is creamy, a blend of fresh tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and herb and vinegar, the dish is very fresh and the aroma of basil leaf is tantalizing to enjoy. This is healthy food and with special ingredients.

Creamy Mushroom Calzone Well, this is the main course you've been waiting for, melted mozzarella cheese filling combined with soft mashed potatoes and crunchy calzone crust. This calzone is the best favorite dish to order. And there's more, the calzone is really big. Make me full

Fettuccine Broccoli Sausage This pasta is very aldente. Creamy cheese taste, blend of broccoli with rich taste and attractive color appearance. It's definitely healthy too.

Last but not least, The Dessert. Affogato Dessert, Italian coffee based dessert. Chocolate gelato with espresso. Creamy gelato with the aroma of coffee that gives the sensation of a cold dessert dish with a thick Italian coffee taste.

Second desserts, Lava Chocolate Cake, a cake served fresh from the oven, with melted chocolate filling. Served warm with a sweet taste that fits so it doesn't feel bad in the mouth. All menus are made with love and served tantalizingly

Definitely avoid this place. The staff didn't listen to our order correctly and then brought out something that we didn't even order. When we explained that we did not order a particular dish that they were trying to force on us, the owner confronted us as if it were our mistake and became aggressive and hostile towards his paying guests. The food was like mush and tasteless. I see from past 1 star reviews, the owner demands to see a copy of the receipt from the customer making the complaint. Funnily enough, we were not even offered any receipt when we paid. No doubt they do this intentionally so that they can try to write off any bad reviews as being "fake" when they are in fact genuine reviews of the terrible experience you can expect if you go here. There are so many other options in Canggu. Don't waste your money or time here.

REPLY: I never said the waitstaff were rude. The only issue was the language barrier which is why they failed to get the order correct. But that's understandable and can be forgiven given that English is not the native language in Indonesia. The person who was very rude however was the manger/owner who came out to confront us and try to blame us for the mistake of the waitstaff.

And I never said a bill wasn't shown - we were shown the bill but on screen only. I said that a receipt was never offered. Hence we wouldn't be able to provide the proof that you expect in order to take customer...
