I’ve spent so many hours at Slavic Roots during my stay in Canggu, and honestly, I love everything about this place. The food? Incredible. Super delicious, made with love, and way more affordable than most spots around here. There’s something for everyone. And their homemade desserts? So good, protein power balls, cakes, and so much more!

But let’s talk about the kombucha. They brew it themselves in huge bottles and make different natural flavors. I swear, it’s the best I’ve ever had. They also have probiotic drinks, which just adds to the magic.

And the vibe? Cozy, welcoming, and just… warm. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are the kindest, most genuine people, always smiling, always making you feel welcome. You can tell they put their heart into everything they do, and that energy makes all the difference. I’ve even been gifted slices of watermelon just because. Little things like that stay with you.

They have two floors, and upstairs there’s a chill AC room where you can work all day if you want. Whether you’re here for a meal, a drink, or just a comfy spot to get some work done, this place has it all.

UNCLEAN - MADE US SICK - Update: after writing the review below, my wife and I both got sick from the food at this restaurant. My original review: Fake reviews are the only way I can imagine this place having such high ratings. Feels as if we were fooled into coming here. Very slow service even though only a handful of other customers here. “Chocolate” smoothie tasted like banana without even a hint of chocolate. Slavic sandwich is a small piece of bread with some eggs and a mustard salad dressing on top. The same mustard salad dressing that came with the salmon bowl my wife ordered. I guess this is the “Slavic” in the dish name? Wait staff unable to answer basic questions about items on the menu. After a long wait different staff told us different remaining wait times for the food. When it finally came it was as not worth the wait and the knife they brought with my silverware was broken. The pierogi were perfectly cooked, and the borscht was simply to die for. It's clear that a lot of love and care goes into every meal they serve.
