I’ve spent so many hours at Slavic Roots during my stay in Canggu, and honestly, I love everything about this place. The food? Incredible. Super delicious, made with love, and way more affordable than most spots around here. There’s something for everyone. And their homemade desserts? So good, protein power balls, cakes, and so much more!
But let’s talk about the kombucha. They brew it themselves in huge bottles and make different natural flavors. I swear, it’s the best I’ve ever had. They also have probiotic drinks, which just adds to the magic.
And the vibe? Cozy, welcoming, and just… warm. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are the kindest, most genuine people, always smiling, always making you feel welcome. My original review: Fake reviews are the only way I can imagine this place having such high ratings. Feels as if we were fooled into coming here. Very slow service even though only a handful of other customers here. “Chocolate” smoothie tasted like banana without even a hint of chocolate. I guess this is the “Slavic” in the dish name? Wait staff unable to answer basic questions about items on the menu. After a long wait different staff told us different remaining wait times for the food. When it finally came it was as not worth the wait and the knife they brought with my silverware was broken. Bad experience start to finish. Must be lots of fake reviews, or it could be there is new ownership with the name change from Siwoo to Slavic roots? Either way,...
