LOVA CAFE — Restaurant in Bali

I don't know who designed the interior of Lova, but may they be forever blessed — because the aesthetic of this place is something else. There's this timeless, classic vibe that subtly competes with modernity, and it works so well. Think: pastel chandeliers, soft lighting, and that gentle elegance that feels both cozy and refined.

If you're going, I highly recommend booking one of the sofa tables in advance — the ones with plush pillows. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a dreamy date night. It just feels inviting in the best way.

Now, the menu… That was the hard part — only because I wanted to try everything. I was torn between the four-cheese pasta and a seafood pasta, and ended up going with the seafood dish (without pasta) — no regrets. Absolutely delicious. The kitchen knows what it’s doing.

I also peeked at the breakfast menu for next time. Oatmeal with shrimp?? Never had it — but I’m definitely coming back to try it. They also serve more familiar options like croissants with salmon, eggs, shakshuka, syrniki… All the good stuff.

In short: Lova is a gem. Delicious food, beautiful design, and probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing spots in Canggu. Highly recommended if you like to eat well and feel...

This new establishment has a very beautiful interior, but there are still several areas for improvement:

You don't receive a menu card; instead, you're required to scan a QR code and view the menu on your phone, which isn't convenient, especially for a luxurious establishment! The cheapest bottle of wine costs 700,000 rupiah or more. Bintang beer isn't available, only Heineken, which is considered the worst beer in the world! They serve the main courses first and then the appetizers! For such a magnificent establishment, this is incomprehensible and indicates that the staff lacks experience.

Despite these issues, it's worth noting that the food is amazingly good; it's one of the best in the area. However, the staff need a professional leader to ensure a smoother operation and enhance the overall dining experience.

They offer a 30% discount for dining, and the place is also empty. However, if they don't improve their service, this establishment will never succeed, as there are hundreds of other well-managed places! The establishment is still new, so they have the opportunity to improve. However, the management doesn't seem to understand my concerns, as they fail to realize how important this is for...

Nice staff and atmosphere, food is bad. Also I didn’t get the idea of QR codes , when people visit such kind of establishments, they want to have certain experience where all 5 senses are involved, music , light , printed menu, where they can properly touch , feel, watch etc. For me QR code is not about modern concept , it’s about level of the place. I ordered dip from Feta cheese and it was soooo salty, though some honey was added on the top as well. I tried this dish before in other country , it was perfect combination of different flavours and amazing taste. It was the reason why I wanted to repeat on Bali and I was disappointed The second dish was pasta with tuna tar tar , it was literally as spicy as Tom Yam soup , first of all , nothing states about it in the menu.
