Liuyishou Chongqing Hotpot Canggu — Restaurant in Bali

I recently visited Liuyishou Hotpot Canggu and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an unpleasant smell reminiscent of sewage, which completely ruined my appetite. After an agonizing 2-hour wait, they finally brought out a fried pork dish and a scallion pancake that had waited just as long. Despite repeatedly asking for additional soup and drinks, the waitress seemed more interested in other tasks, constantly forgetting our requests. 😤 #BadService #Overpriced #Disappointed

The dumplings served were clearly frozen and lacked any fresh taste or texture. To make matters worse, the tomato soup tasted like plain water, with none of the rich, savoury flavours one would expect.

I usually don't write bad reviews, but this takes horrendous to an extreme level. It is ridiculously overpriced. Four young adults, ordering regular meat, cost 1,800,000 IDR.💸 #Expensive

We do understand if proper Chinese hotpot cost quite pricey but here what we got is just mediocre overall experience.

The food was nice, especially the chicken broth, it was superb, but the other like the wonton, and the fried noodle were just okay. The way they serve it is also quite nice, with the dragon pan and the frozen bear-shaped broth that will melt when the pan gets hot is nice.

The service needs a lot of improvement. The staff was really nice but they need to be more informative and helpful. This is our first time here and we looked a bit confused when ordering and they're just there. Not asking or offering any help or inform anything, which they also didn't inform us that they got table full of sauces and condiments. So, yea. I bet, we're not gonna be the only person that come here for the first time, so they need to work on this issue.

The ambience, this what bother us a lot. With those price we paid, we don't wanna listen to a lot of advertisement in the middle of the Chinese playlist that was played quite aloud for a small restaurant. And the lighting inside, we don't know if it was still unfinished or it was on purpose but it was quite dark and gloomy, not in a good way, so it created an unpleasant feeling with the combination of all that.

We spent IDR. 900,000 for two. We're just happy that the food was alright but you guys need a lot of improvement...

*My recent visit to this hot pot restaurant was disappointing. The hygiene standards were alarming, with nearly empty sauce containers on the tables that we had to repeatedly ask the staff to refill. To make matters worse, I found a bug floating in the peanut sauce.

The atmosphere upon entering was quite eerie. The staff appeared exhausted and avoided eye contact. Even after we seated ourselves, they never once smiled. This made me wonder about their working conditions and what might be causing such apparent unhappiness in their roles.

As the only customers in the restaurant, we ordered a few dishes which amounted to around $110. this is not cheap, especially considering the meager portions we received. Five slices of broken mushrooms for five or six dollars each seemed exorbitant.

When a restaurant charges such high prices, I expect excellent service to match. However, what we got was indifference and unwelcoming attitudes. To add insult to injury, both the cooking broth and dipping sauces came with additional charges.

Given this experience, the pricing feels unjustified. The combination of poor service, lackluster atmosphere, and questionable hygiene leaves much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this place unless significant...
