First time dining here, food is OK, I judge it on would I eat there again or would I eat it again, the Red Curry yes I'd eat it again was good besides the fact the chef only put 3 pieces of small tofu in the curry and there should of been atleast 12 for the Red Curry tofu as explained by the table staff, the problem was eventually sorted after alot of back and forward, the entree Fried Tofu, fried tofu is OK the dipping peanut sauce for vegetarian vegan option was not good, Thai fried rice was missing flavor, needed less small vegetable, less green onion, more spices and flavors, and the Lad Na noodle, the Lad Na was sweet and was holding alot of heat and the flat rice noodles became over cooked, so those 3 dishes No I would not order again, Anaga Thai food has authentic flavors to the typical point of Indonesian Thai food flavor not to traditional Thailand Thai food flavors. The restaurant has hard wooden seating, they allow smoking at the dinning tables inside the restaurant downstairs which we found strange and unpleasant as there was a table beside us smoking, your table can have split bills, the table staff are friendly, polite, most of the time attentive. I live in Bali, I do have a another go to weekly thai restaurant that I visit happily, but wanted to experience Anaga, have to say, Anaga doesn't use added MSG which is good, has more menu options and portion size is bigger over the my other go to Thai restaurant in the same area, but after my first meal experience it's not good enough to make me switch, though if I'm with friends and they want to go back there I'd go back and try another curry and just have curry and...

Read moreI recently dined at Anaga Thai Restaurant in Canggu, and had a mixed experience. While the food was undeniably delicious, the ambiance left much to be desired.
The moment we stepped in, we were struck by the creepy, dark decor, which felt more like a haunted house than a restaurant. To make matters worse, there was a weird, lingering odor that was hard to ignore.
However, we were pleasantly surprised by the food. The Tom Yam Gung was light and flavorful, while the Pad See Ew, although a bit salty, was enjoyable.
The real standouts, though, were the Glass Noodle Salad and the Crispy Pork - both were absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The Pohpiah was also crunchy and delightful.
Service-wise, our server was attentive and did a great job.
If Anaga Thai Restaurant could work on improving the ambiance and eliminating the unpleasant odor, it would easily become a top-rated spot. As it stands, it's still worth visiting for the tasty food, but be prepared for a somewhat...
