Disappointing Experience at Bella: Hype Over Quality
Bella is one of those restaurants people visit for the hype and Instagram stories rather than for a true gastronomic experience. If you’re looking for a trendy spot to take stylish photos, you might find it appealing. But if your priority is quality food and professional service, this place will likely disappoint you.
Food: Overpriced and Ridiculously Small Portions
Let’s start with the most important aspect—food. The prices at Bella are unjustifiably high, while the portions are absurdly small. For instance, mezze, which are traditionally meant for sharing, are served here in a portion so tiny that it barely amounts to a single spoonful—not even enough for one person to properly taste.
Main courses are overpriced as well, and their quality is far from justifying the cost. The biggest disappointment was the so-called “baklava”—what we received was nothing more than a dry croissant roll with pistachio ice cream. It had absolutely no resemblance to real baklava in taste, texture, or presentation.
Verdict: Food is a major letdown—minimum rating.
Service: Rushed and Unprofessional
We visited Bella twice, hoping to give it a second chance, but the experience only worsened. The staff is unfriendly, rushed, and lacks professionalism, making the dining experience unpleasant. Don’t expect attentive or refined service here.
Verdict: Service is disappointing.
Cocktails: Overly Perfumed and Undrinkable
Cocktails at Bella are slightly more expensive than the average in Canggu (about 10–20% more), but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. They have an overpowering, artificial, “perfumed” aroma, suggesting the use of low-quality alcohol. They are simply undrinkable.
Verdict: Very low rating for cocktails.
Atmosphere: Aesthetic but Superficial
The main attraction of Bella is its stylish, Instagrammable setting and trendy events like their famous Monday nights. If your goal is to capture aesthetic photos and say you’ve been to a “hotspot,” this might be the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a restaurant with great food and service, this is definitely not it.
Final Verdict: Not Recommended
A beautiful setting cannot compensate for terrible food, poor service, and bad drinks. Bella is all about the hype—but lacks the substance...

Read moreTalking about the food, welp I didn’t expect that the Turkish Bagel would be that so chewy, can’t even bite it 😮💨 very unfortunate as I was there and paid with my own money (not a free food like any other influencer where they can just lie and not being honest about the food cz obviously Bella Canggu invite them to) that’s one of the reasons why I’m here, watching influencers went to Bella and having a good time pretend like the food was GOOD like I thought it was. Ofc they would think it’s good cz it was for free for them, it wont hurt them any less. The Lamb Pide was good tbh, but it comes with a tiny bread yeah, again didn’t expect it would be like a tiny small pizza with a Lamb on top 😭🤣 the Burrata was so-so, Sardine has the better Burrata. So does Rivierra. The potato purée wasn’t really that potato purée, it was just a boiled potato and they smashed it with a small leaf on top idk what was that. Should you change that on the menu into “mashed potatoes” cz the potato purée from Mason is the real OG one. Also pls be honest with me, you mixed the Humus with something else im not sure what cz it doesn’t tasted fully Humus. I know Humus is pricey per jar but why? Oh God. Oh yeah the staff were friendly they greeted me once I stepped in the restaurant. Amazing staff like as they should. Spent 700k++ (I know it’s nothing for you but 700k I could get a better meals from Lola’s / Mosto etc with the same...
