Warung uno 1 — Restaurant in Bali

This family owned restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The food was just spectacular! Honestly, everything we ordered for dinner was really delicious, cooked fresh, and more than affordable. In our experience a rare combination to find in Canggu nowadays.

We tried the "Potato Beef Perkedel" & "Corn Perkedel" as starters, and the "Beef Rendang" & "Pepes Tahu/Tempeh" as mains. This time. We will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

The restaurant is located at the end of an alley, by the way. So don't worry if you come in the evening and it's dark and you can't seem to find it at first - it exists, it's definitely there! Just keep a lookout for the sign.

Also, please don't let the barking dogs in any way change your mind - they are dogs, they do what doggos do, bark :-) But they are super friendly, just curious, NOT aggressive. You can just walk past them. They have a couple of dogs roaming around because Lily (the owner) also runs a dog & cat shelter

This place is not just about eating; it's a perfect spot for mingling, with a pool table available for a friendly game and an opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. We had an amazing time here, and the food? Absolutely divine. It alone makes the visit worthwhile.

On a hunt for local food in the very touristic area of Canggu, we found this cute Warung thanks to the good reviews, and they were not lying :) better use maps to find the place as it’s at the end of a small road and not on the main one! We had a lovely night with good food and the good company of the owner, a nice lady that will make you feel like you are dining at some friend house! Don’t get scared by the dogs, they are a few but all friendly (for us vegetarians and animal lovers, it’s been a plus to know that the place give shelter to dogs and cats!)
