Made's Warung Berawa — Restaurant in Bali

On the 12th December 2023, I brought 16 people to have a dinner here. I was lucky as I recommended this place and all my guests were happy.

I contacted them, and they straight away replied to my message. I communicate with Pak Agung, he is a nice guy, so helpful, communicative and tentative.

I was planning to celebrate a birthday for 1 of my guests and they helped me with everything, from cakes because I need to deliver the cakes to them, and they helped me to keep the cakes there.

It's easy to book a table for a group here. All the staff were so nice.

That night was an acoustic jazz singer to accompany all the customers, and the singer was really good. My guests were so happy and enjoyed the dinner time. They actually don't want to go back, but the restaurant needs to be closed 😁. So we sadly have to leave, even though we still want to enjoy warung made berawa.

Thank you so much for Pak Agung and teams, for all the good services. I definitely will come back to bring my guests, and for sure will recommend your place to others.

Great food, really fresh. Asked for a med/rare steak and it was spot on. Lovely crispy fresh salads. Chips/fries on the side were also lovely and fresh/crispy, not one soggy or burnt one to be seen. Their smoothies are to die for! Sooooo good. Pricing was fantastic imho... Staff were all really nice, kept their distance while we were eating, which was appreciated, but were also there straight away when I made eye contact and raised my hand a fraction. All around a really great place and with the kids enclosed playground area, great for families with little ones. If I had to knitpick, the only fault they had was all the stray cats just running around outside. There is an inside area where you can sit though, near where all the food is cooked, that is obviously cat free...but to be fair though, it is Bali and those strays are bloody everywhere, so not sure you can really hold that one against them insofar as the outdoor eating area goes. We have gone back there twice now and each time has been just as great. So happy we...

Tried a couple of mains and the dessert!!

Satay was quite dry for the meat but not fatty!!

Beef Rendang was very tough for the meat as well, some had to be spat out!! Not tender like some others we have tried!!

Best main dish award goes to the mie goreng, was so fragrant and nice and portion was 💯

Dessert for the Dutch pancakes that was superb soft and fresh - but gelato that came with, was just mediocre ice cream

Also tried the banana fritters which was very cheap but very bad - please avoid, super oily and it didn’t taste good, barely ate it

Tried in a chocolate chip ice cream and it was nothing to brag about!

Overall service was superb and the sambal chilli was amazing, might consider coming back to try the other dishes and give it another try if I have time and stomach...
