RiZE Bali — Restaurant in Bali

I’ve been to Rize for dinner but didn’t know they had breakfast until today.

Rize is a scenic venue that will appease all of your 5 senses.

Read along while I explain my generous 4✨ review.

For dinner the food is presented quite well and tastes really good. My qualm with Rize is that it offers about 2-3 items that do not contain peanuts and so I have not been able to explore the fullness of their dinner menu. 🤷🏽‍♀️

At night time the ambience is really chill and the crowd quite unpretentious. I enjoy this.

Today I went for breakfast with a friend via referral and tried the Rize Benny and Chai Tea with Soy.

The bread on the Riza Benny was quite hard in parts and I had to remove it before I broke a bracket on my braces. 🫠 The flavor profile of the dish was good and the kale was quite chewy. Be careful I almost choked a couple of times and then again I have braces.

The Chai Tea was not my thing and it was my first time trying it but it might be a staple for you.

There was a lady that came in with her family after we’d sat and ordered our food. I over heard her asking the server to move us so that she could accommodate her party. Quite thoughtful of her!? Yeah I know.

There was a table in the middle of that same area that could’ve accommodated her party without disturbing us but I guess she didn’t want that. She absolutely did not mind infiltrating our morning breakfast to have her desires. I digress…

After just one more person arrived she persisted on having tables moved and forcing our table to deal with the consequence of her neediness and blatant selfishness.

The servers eventually bombarded our table with another table without so much as asking if we’d still be comfortable there and waiting on a response. Had my food not come I would’ve walked out.

Usually this staff is quite consistent at having a high standard of service but today they fell short.

I did make it a point that the next time I visited Rize, I’d review them and well this was that time.

I will not suggest or deter you from this experience. I lend my own and you can choose your move from there.

Cafe with very tasty Indian cuisine and cool surroundings. We ordered three dishes for breakfast and they were all excellent (although the coffee is so-so at most). But they didn't hear about customer focus here. I am writing this review to draw the attention of the owners to this, who, by the way, spent the whole day in a cafe next to us. Maybe they will come to a conclusion.

My wife and I came to have breakfast, and then decided to stay to work until sunset. There were many other people with laptops in the cafe. Somewhere at 4 pm they started to come to us and say that soon the brunch would end and dinner would begin. On the question of whether it would be possible to continue to sit, we were told that it was possible.

Then suddenly they began to ask us to move to another place where there were no sockets. We asked to stay until 18:30 in place. But in the end they said that it was impossible to stay in these places and that for some reason it was necessary to transfer to other places.

Okay, we moved, but my laptop died during the call, because I didn’t keep it on charge. Then they brought the bill, which we did not ask for (for 500k by the way, that is, we are the case that we ordered 1 coffee and sit all day). We paid for it, and then we made another order. As a result, paid for some reason 2 checks.

As planned, we left at 18:30 and the cafe was almost empty (pictured). After all, everyone usually comes to Canggu for dinner after sunset.

Questions to cafe owners and managers: Where is the logic here? Why were we asked to transfer to uncomfortable seats and pay the bill 2 times? I never understood.

🇷🇺 Кафе с очень вкусной индийской кухней и классным антуражем. Заказали на завтраке три блюда и все были прекрасны (хотя кофе максимум так себе). Но о клиентоориентированности тут не слышали. Пишу этот отзыв, чтобы обратить на это внимание владельцев, которые, кстати, целый день находились в кафе рядом с нами. Может быть они сделают выводы.

Мы пришли с женой позавтракать, а потом решили остаться поработать до заката. Было много других людей с ноутбуками в кафе. Где-то в 4 вечера к нам начали походить и говорить, что скоро бранч закончится и начнется ужин. На вопрос о том, можно ли будет остаться дальше сидеть нам сказали, что можно.

Потом вдруг нас стали просить пересесть в другое место, где нет розеток. Мы просили остаться до 18:30 на месте. Но в итоге сказали, что нельзя на этих местах оставаться и нужно все-таки зачем-то пересесть на другие места.

Окей, мы пересели, но время звонка у меня сел ноутбук, потому что я его не держал на зарядке. Потом принесли счет, который мы не просили (на 500к к слову, то есть мы тот случай, что заказали 1 кофе и сидишь целый день). Мы его оплатили, а потом еще делали заказ. В итоге оплачивали зачем-то 2 чека.

Как и планировали мы ушли в 18:30 и кафе было почти пустое (на фото). Ведь на ужин в Чангу обычно все приходят после заката.

Вопросы к владельцам и менеджерам кафе: Где тут логика? Зачем нас просили пересаживаться на неудобные места и 2 раза оплачивать счет? Я...

The best cafe in Canngu.

We were excited to try chai at RIZE. Upon arriving we were informed it is going under renovation and will open it on 1st week of September. As we extended our stay and we are closing our trip in Canggu, we came again yesterday and it was closed as we were unaware of the working hours.

Today we came for our breakfast and lunch, we can say that it gives you authentic taste of Indian spices and flavor. So far none has been able to deliver that except RIZE cafe. To start with

Menu is so easy to understand, Chai is tasty, flavorful and aromatic. In each sip its has unique flavor. The dosa is so tasty and fresh, the red chutney I think has roots of Rajasthan. My wife loved Dahl here so we ordered on side as well. Every chutney was introduced very thoughtfully in the meals. Pesto, humus, tempe and pita bread had their own authentic flavor and they come in good portion.

The food has great vibration unlike any vegetarian or vegan or plant based place, its guaranteed.
