Kilo Kitchen Bali - Pererenan — Restaurant in Bali

TL;DR Loyal guest of Kilo Seminyak finally tries out new Pererenan location and is deeply impressed. With the architecture, ambience and most importantly, the food. Earns an overall 9/10 and is a great reflection and extension of the Kilo brand.

Food 9/10 - Beef carpaccio and soft shell crab is a MUST GET. Other recommended items include seared scallops, and choco-banana pudding (Apologies I forgot the name). Food rivals original location is consistent.

Ambience 9.5/10 - Prefer this location over the Seminyak outlet because of how open, spacious and welcoming this place is. Designer did a beautiful job carving out space and creating intimacy. Lines of wood running through the whole place contrasted with black, steel and splashes of color. True to the Kilo spirit.

Service 10/10 - You’re greeted warmly at the door. Hosts make great conversation at different points of the meal without overt intrusion. Shout out to Sinta who made our night so lovely!

Location & Parking 8/10 - Location is further up north and far flung. Motorists traveling from south to north to this location will have to practice caution due to the sharp turns that lead to this place. However, the place is beautiful and certainly worth the travel. Establishment has dedicated underground parking as well as accessible street parking.

We had the pleasure of dining several times at Kilo, during our stay at Masmara Resort, which is located just at the rear of the restaurant, and we were truly blown away! Even though it’s managed separately, the staff were so warm, KIND welcoming, they made us feel right at home. My partner wasn’t feeling well a couple of days, and the team was incredibly sweet♥️, taking such great care of us. Organizing room service via WhatsApp was so easy and fast 🙏🏻

Since we chose the breakfast-included option for our stay, we got to enjoy a different breakfast every day (a la carte options) which was such a treat! Everything was fresh and tasty.

The food in general was very nice, but what really stood out was the genuine kindness and care from the staff. We left feeling so well looked after. If you’re staying at Masmara, make sure to stop by the restaurant, you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing first dinner here in Bali, as recommended by our friend who came by 💯

🦀 crab croquette was probably the only okay dish we had, the pepper sauce that came with it gave it a good flavour though

🐙 octopus was great, recommended by the waitress and was one of the best dish unanimously 👍🏻

🦑 the squid ink rice with calamari was hands down the highlight of the show, very flavourful squid ink rice paired with a generous portion of calamari! This is truly one to return for whenever we are here! 💯

🐠 the grilled market fish tonight was a barramundi, and we were shocked as to how generous once again the portion was - fresh and thick and huge 🤤

🦐 the shrimp ravioli was okay, an average dish and probably wasn’t really worth the price

Ginger beer was good though, but not so much for the aqua which costed us 70,000IDR.

Overall a really good dinner spot, and one that we would highly recommend and probably even return within the next few days...
