Starlight Restaurant & Bungalows — Restaurant in Bali

Three of us stayed in the "executive villa" at the end of the garden past the bungalows and close to the lovely pool. We had expected to have two bungalows but due to a booking misunderstanding we ended up paying a bit more and staying in the villa and we were very happy with it as it was delightful. Huge living area, sparsely furnished and equipped but fine for us - the slowest boiling kettle ever but slow down on holiday :)!! . Bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and the outdoor bathrooms fantastic - those baths!! The outside patio is furnished with comfy sofas and a great spot to chill in the shade with a cold drink. We asked to have a look at one of the empty bungalows and they looked spotless - quite sparsely furnished again but so clean and tidy. The pool area is beautiful. Again, spotless and surrounded with glorious flowering trees. The only thing which could be improved there would be a handrail to help us more mature travellers get out the pool gracefully! The restaurant is in a great situation on the beach. Food wasn't outstanding and we preferred the music and menu next door for dinner. Breakfast was fine - nothing special but fresh and no complaints. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and they keep the place very clean and tidy. Not what I expected or saw from Trip Advisor.||I stayed here because of the higher ratings reflected on Trip Advisor as well as booking.com||First of all the bungalow is clean and neat and acceptable.. the bed is comfortable and AC is fair. ||What they don’t tell you is that there is no Restaurant as it is closed. Further there is no TV in the room. ||It has a good beach location but the hotel needs revamping .||The staff were kind and outgoing . They arranged a fishing guide for me and I was very pleased with their selection. ||What didn’t know is if you want to eat you need to go next door and eat at another hotel or walk to a Warung on the beach. ||The hotel is very competitively priced and has a low rate. ||I wish I would have known there is no restaurant on the property open and No in room TV when I made the booking based on past trip...
