WASIA Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant Canggu — Restaurant in Bali

Gorgeous place, great food and great service but.....the noise!!!!!! There should be a sign out the front and people advised when they come that there will be a movie. I had my book and was enjoying the calming music then....BAM......despicable me (in Russian 🤣🫣) comes on. Too late....I'd ordered...otherwise I would have hit the road as there's Gorgeous places nearby which won't give you a headache. If you are fine with movies subtitled then it's great, or when it's peaceful. If you want a nice dinner to relax and they play a movie.... go elsewhere!!!! I also only support locally owned places and was disappointed when I realised this was not the case so it's not on my referral list.

Edit - in response to owners response (most of which are passive aggressive to negative aspects of the place), it was not racist, balinese people are getting hotels snd businesses erected by foreigners which puts them out. A small place I visited daily has a huge Chinese owned Cafe going up opposite...they can't compete so yes they deserve special attention. I'm also shocked with treatment dished out by certain countries. Possibly English movies would be best too as it is more recognisable...

WASIA is an absolute gem! After being turned away by three other restaurants that wouldn't accommodate my dietary restrictions, I was starting to lose hope. But then I found WASIA, and what a difference! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service. The owner went above and beyond to ensure my meal was perfect. He was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating, taking the time to understand my needs and bringing my food out exactly as I requested. It was such a relief to find a place that not only understood my dietary needs but genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. On top of all that, the prices were very reasonable. This place is just lovely! My friend and I passed this restaurant several times and finally decided to try it, they were quite quiet so we were a bit unsure but we checked reviews and decided to stay. Omg am I glad we did !! The food is devineee, I had green curry chicken and grilled banana for dessert. So so yummy! The cold teas were refreshing and sweet, great for the warm weather. The owner was so sweet, he has a little kitty “yellow” who wear a little sweater and is happy to be pet🥰very great prices too!! Wish I could come back again and again (I would bring my mosquito spray tho but the waiter kindly had some).
