Visited today around lunchtime, table B12 (so management can investigate via CCTV about this complaint and deal with it).
First time visiting any MeVui franchises. Would not recommend. Not coming back. Overall bad experience. See below why:
No one was present at the entrance, I thought we needed to wait to be seated. (This was ok as the restaurant was not crowded so we could easily just walked in and choose where to sit. But I figured they put the hostess station up front so one of the waiters could show us where to sit. May become a problem if the restaurant was more crowded). The waiter stopped by our table as we sat down, which was good, and offered the menu then promptly left us. My friend said she’d like to order immediately (she’d seen the menu online so she knew what she wanted). Another waiter told us to wait a moment and after about 5mins no one came to check on us or to take our order. So we had to remind the other staffs that were nearby. The service was SO bad, I’m not even kidding. The waiters/waitresses were SO crass. I don’t know why, the restaurant wasn’t even that packed but most of them were acting like busybodys, too busy to be courteous and pay attention to the diners. The group of females behind us also struggled to get the waiters/waitresses’ attention. So it’s not just an isolated incident with us. It was my first time eating at MeVui so I asked the male waiter (I think it’s a manager? Cause he wore different outfits vs the rest of the staff there) some questions about the menu and essentially he only replied in one/two liners - didn’t really explain what was in the dish and explained it very poorly like he didn’t know the product. I ordered the dish which includes an egg, which I was explained to is supposed to be a “sunny side up, and we cook it with the yolk 1/2 made” so I expected the egg to come out that way, as he has explained it to me. Instead it’s a fully-cooked egg so I asked another waiter to replace the egg. That waiter then had to involve another waiter, making it a bigger deal vs just taking the plate and replace the egg. They did replace the egg though but I thought the entire situation should’ve been handled with more attentiveness from the waitresses. P.S.: we heard them talking about us quite openly, something along the lines of “there was no note the yolk should be runny” “it was the kitchen’s fault” etc. In OPEN PUBLIC SPACE. We could HEAR them. Is that professional behavior? The portion was quite big so I couldn’t finish my meal, I asked the waiter to place it in a take-away box for me and she said “ok but we charge IDR 3k for the box ya” and the way she said it was EXTREMELY rude. She wasn’t even fully facing in my direction as she was saying that. That was the nail on the coffin for me. She had been RUDE the entire duration we were there. Unbelievable. She didn’t wear a name tag so I didn’t know her name (also another point for management to take - shouldn’t every front-office staff wear their nametags?
Overall bad experience. I will not come back nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. I saw the reviews here also said similar things about the level of service. So if you’re reading this, make of that what you will with your...

Read moreThe service was not anywhere near expectation. It was busy but they just focused on cleaning to take in more customers without caring about the existing customers.
We tried to order but a lot of times they just looked at us and looked away, being busy at bigger table and cleaning up.
We had to speak up to get attention. We ordered the Hu Tieu Sate, Plater and Bun Bo Hue, the Hu Tieu came first, no cutlery on the table, no one seems to care at all. I decided to go around and take some cutlery from other table to ours (only chopstick and forks), I asked the staff 3 times for spoons, they said 1 minute and never came back 😂. My parter decided to go around the restaurant looking for chopstick at empty tables but couldn’t (as it’s busy), he asked the staffs again and they got angry at him because she just managed to get me some spoons 😂 (just wow! 🤣) The platter came second, I clearly asked for rice paper when ordering but again I had to ask for rice paper. The quality wasn’t great, the size wasn’t matched the price. After 30 minutes, no one even bother to check on us how the food was, we wanted to leave at this point but I think let’s try to ask them the last time. We finally had our last dish after 40 minutes from the first 😂
If you are busy to the point that the kitchen cannot handle, then stop taking new customers! Management needs significant improvement.
Will not recommend this place...
