We had lunch at Strawberry Fields Cafe in Seminyak with the family, and it was truly a mixed bag of experiences.
Food: The burgers and smoothies were on par with, and in some cases even better than, those we had at other highly-rated cafes during our trip. My wifeâs "Le BigMac" was a standoutâit tasted like a gourmet version of the Big Mac from McDonaldâs, with a sauce that was almost identical. The smoothies were not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
Now, hereâs where things took a turnâŚ
Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the cafe left a lot to be desired. The tables and chairs were covered in a noticeable layer of dirt and dust, as if they hadnât been properly cleaned in a while. Despite the place being relatively empty, with staff just standing around, it seemed like maintaining cleanliness wasnât a priority. The menus were another issueâthey were old, dirty, and tattered, which almost made us reconsider ordering.
Service: The staff were friendly enough but didnât seem particularly motivated or proactive. Our smoothies and meals came out at random times, and by the time the last smoothie arrived, the rest of us had already finished our meals. Considering there was only one other customer in the cafe, this didnât bode well for how they might handle a full house.
In Conclusion: If you donât mind the less-than-ideal surroundings and service, Strawberry Fields does serve up some darn good burgers. But if youâre looking for the full package, you might want to...
Read moreStunning interior! It's like a plant heaven with a wide range of hanging plants and stringy lights, which made us forget we were in Bali for a second with the exception of humidity. Aside from warmth, the weather did cool as the night progressed, so dinner was enjoyable!
We met up with a few friends after we split for day time activities - some went hiking while a few of us did some watersports along the beach, so it was refreshing to hydrate with a few juices. Boyfriend got the kiwi and melon heaven while I got the green. Both were so good!
For food, we had a few items family style with friends to share - Pablo Escobar (think carne asada fries) & Cheesy Truffle Fries. My dinner was the Sweet Chili Chicken Sandwich - grilled chicken, melted cheddar, avocado, pickles, arugula and chili mayo on toasted bread. The bread was a little burnt, but overall, the chicken was really juicy and the flavors were really good.
We debated returning here during our stay, but with limited time abroad, we didn't want to limit ourselves. However, it's good enough to return to time and time again if I were a...

My wife and I grabbed a taxi here from Tony's villa as we had seen their amazing social media pages.
The atmosphere here was very relaxed, we sat in a semi out door building and they allowed vaping which was a bonus!
We did get the impression from the social media pages that the location was more remote, however it was just on the side of a road, not sure what either of us expected!
The staff were very warm and friendly and everything was brought out to us quick.
As for the food.. WOW! I ordered the lord of the rings burger with the notorious pig fries and my wife ordered the breakfast burger with pig fries too.
Probably one of nicest burgers we have had at such an affordable price too! The fries really stood out though and we're delish!
I was disappointed as I had seen them advertise giant coconut drinks but they had sold out, other than this, we had the perfect burger experience.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving a nice...
