Acia Ikan Bakar stands out as a premier destination for seafood enthusiasts visiting Batam. Renowned for its fresh offerings and authentic Indonesian flavors, this establishment promises a memorable dining experience.

One of the standout dishes is the kerang gong gong, a local sea snail delicacy. Served freshly boiled, these snails offer a unique texture and are best enjoyed with the accompanying spicy dipping sauce, providing a true taste of the region.

Another highlight is the ikan asam pedas, a spicy and sour fish stew that tantalizes the taste buds. The fish, sourced daily to ensure optimal freshness, is cooked to perfection in a rich, flavorful broth. The harmonious blend of spices and tamarind creates a dish that’s both hearty and invigorating.

The ambiance at Acia Ikan Bakar is both inviting and versatile. Diners have the option to choose between indoor and outdoor seating, catering to different preferences and group sizes. The establishment maintains a clean and organized environment, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Service is another area where Acia Ikan Bakar excels. The staff are known for their friendliness and attentiveness, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their visit.

In terms of pricing, Acia Ikan Bakar offers fair rates, making it an excellent choice for those seeking quality seafood without breaking the bank. The combination of fresh dishes, reasonable prices, and a pleasant atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot in Batam.

In conclusion, Acia Ikan Bakar delivers a delightful seafood dining experience, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of Batam. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this restaurant is well worth a visit for its fresh seafood, especially the kerang gong gong and ikan asam pedas, complemented by excellent service...

Food tried: Grilled mackerel, steamed pomfret, stir fried beansprout, grilled squid.

Fishes were cooked nicely and made a perfect pair with tangy, biting chilly sauce. The grilled squid was ok, but the fried version was actually better.

Service crews are helpful, and most would be able to help in English. The process is quite straightforward. Pick your fish(es), choose a style of cooking, order other dishes, and get a table number to be displayed so that they can find you when the foods are ready.

Ambience is not this place strength. Being popular streetside fare, the restaurant is always noisy with traffic. Finding a parking space can be a challenge, and most of the seating is in outdoor settings, which could be bad when rain starts falling down. Also, be ready to wash your clothes afterwards as the smoke smell...

This place should be on your list of you are after ikan bakar. We almost went to the wrong place and sat in one of the open tables in front of the restaurant. But thankfully we realised our error and quickly moved to the restaurant. They even had an air-conditioned section which was a plus as it was a hot night. We ordered the ikan bakar which is an absolute must. The bumbu that was served with the fish was sooooo good. It was not spicy. We had it on the side as we were worried that it was going to be spicy but it wasn’t. And we could not get enough. In fact, we had to ask for more and they thankfully obliged. We also had the asam stingray and the deep fried battered sotong. Both were also really nice but the ikan bakar with the bumbu stole the show. This place is highly...

Found this place by chance (thanks Google map!) and it is a gem indeed. Located in sort of a hidden place near Nagoya Hill. Lots of local & tourist. The seafood is fresh & nicely ‘bakar’ (bbq grilled). The fish is yummy 👍🏼 The prawn & squid are grilled in local style with the ‘kicap manis’ (sweet black sauce) which is nice but my personal preference would be without the sauce ( do feel free to request). Would be back to try some of the fried dishes the next time. You can also order fried egg oyster (oh-chien) from the shop next door. The price is super reasonable/ great value 👍🏼 They accept credit card 🙂
