Justeak One Batam — Restaurant in Batam City

I first tasted an Australian tenderloin steak in August 2023 at the Grand Mall outlet and I couldn't believe how delicious it was and the price was rather reasonable. I intended to visit the outlet again two nights ago, only to discover to my dismay, the outlet at Grand Batam Mall has closed. My daughter actually had to search for its new location on Google and we made a special trip to One Batam Mall just to have the tenderloin steak again. We were not disappointed. The crew was generous with the mushroom sauce. The vegetables were nicely cooked and crunchy. The Australian tenderloin was just heavenly. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked just the way I liked it. Very tender and juicy. Well worth the journey to One Batam Mall. The avocado juice was the best that I've had in all my four days' stay in Batam. It wasn't too sweet, just the right texture and nicely chilled. We ordered TWO tenderloins and TWO avocado juice. We enjoyed a 35% discount and we paid 351,200 IDR. That's SGD30.14 for TWO pax at the time of writing this review. I have never come across another place anywhere that delivers this value. Service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Besides steak, this restaurant also serves fish and chicken starting from 55,000 IDR or SGD4.72. Ambiance is really great, makes you feel comfortable while eating. Servers were also really attentive and friendly.

Saw an influencer and a guy taking videos of the food at the corner. We don't know who this influencer is but from our experience eating here..... If she says it's nice it might not be the complete truth...

However, the food is what makes a restaurant.

Ordered the following:

1)Cheeseburger -The cheese is processed squeezed cheese, not the typical cheese used for a cheeseburger -Came with a side of fries and baked beans sauce that just tasted sweet

2)Tenderloin steak -The cut of meat was definitely not a tenderloin -The steak is thin and marinated even though there was already sauce on the side

3)Popcorn chicken -It was really dry -Majority of the pieces were just batter -It was served with a side of sauce but in contrast to the amount of chicken it was too little sauce

4)Chendol -This was nice and was a good end to the meal -Plenty of fruit and it was refreshing

Would I come here again? Unlikely but I'd probably try the fried rice...

That case when the steak was made not bad (not that done, but still not bad). but the rest is really upsetting: waiters who do not know the menu, promotions that work in a way that must be read with the same care as the contract for the purchase of an apartment (I perceive this as a fraud of the buyer), to the lack of elementary drinks on the menu as hot tea and coffee (not instant and without premixed sugar).
