Saung Sunda Sawargi — Restaurant in Batam City

Avoid early lunch . They took a lot of tour group booking. I was first in when the restaurant open . I was served half of my orders and have to wait till 5 big bus of tour groups all being served before I can get the rest of my orders . The food overall was not as good as before covid . The prawn was not very fresh , the fish was still good and crispy , many on the menu not available eg fried kampong chicken , satay.. etc . The Tahu goreng , tempeh and sambal is still as good . . Ayam Bakar some how not as good . The beef soup was super salty . The fried rice tastes ok but the rice quality was not very good . We took the platform seat at the side . The seat was dirty and full of ants got beaten through out the lunch . Overall not a very pleasant lunch . Guess we have to look for alternatives next...

Food was good, service was very bad. We ordered 3 dishes and two of them arrived after 1 hour of waiting. We had to check to make sure they didn't forget our food as they were more focused on serving the tourist groups. It seemed like the tourist groups had made reservation and that's why they were served first despite arriving much later than us, but if the waiting time would be so long, you should have told us, and we would not have waited. After two of the dishes arrived, we still had walk to them to ask for our rice & utensils because they were too busy with other tables. The last dish, sate ayam, never arrived. They told us sate ayam would take some time, but in the end, they simply...

If u are not part of a large Tour Group that comes in droves here to eat pre-ordered group food in the masses & happened to just walk in to order hoping to get your food as soon as u order - then dont come here......we ordered set food for 4 pax at 2.25pm local time & the food only arrived an hour later at 3.30pm local time.

Food is okay, nothing to shout.....but service depends on your level of patience. I cannot tolerate this as it wastes my precious time. Would not recommend this joint even if the food is...
