Awal Mula Coffee — Restaurant in Bogor

I was here in the beginning 2019, finally I made my second visit. Rainy days makes people rush in to enter any coffee shop they can find. Including Awal Mula Coffee shop. We almost panic because there were no seat available... Indoor already full, semi outdoor is out of the question because some of the guests were smoking. Thankfully, two young ladies were about to leave and they called us to take their seat. So my friend and I ordered coffee, hot chocolate, lasagna and macaroni. Their chocolate is product by KORTE, so they told me that the taste is not sweet. Which is fine for me. The lasagna well just so so but still okay. Another Thai tea before we finally going home, as the rain finally stop. This coffee shop usually a favorite place for people taking OOTD pics. But since the weather was unfriendly, most of the visitors just enjoy their drinks. Though several of them went to 2nd floor for...

Firstly first, We ordered two different menus. Apparently when the menu came it taste all the same. At that time we considered to not take it seriously and enjoy the served drinks. Yet all of sudden the bar captain (the one with a quite long straight hair) came to us and apologised for brought a wrong menu. He gave us the right menu (so we have 3 drinks) and not put the wrong menu on our bills.

After sitting for a while, me and my friends were taking some photos. At another coffee shop in Bogor, once you have a quite 'serious photoshoot', the staff will come to you and ask you to stop or giving you a charge.

Yet here in Awal Mula the staff even allow us to explore the building, even the bar captain (again) opened the door for me. Well, the owner and management did a good job on educate their staff. What a good experience I had here....

Visited this homy cafe near Bogor exit toll road, quite easy to find.

Food and Drink Manual brew - tried the one from Ijen, with fruity and betty notes. On average, it's good quality coffee Iced Latte - better quality than the average "fast-coffee" ice latte Soft Choco Cookies - just okay, a bit dry I think

Service Good service, nothing to worry about

Atmosphere It's like a minimalist home, with wide glass window that enhances the spacious feel. Visited at weekend during Ramadhan, not too crowded. Just right.

Price Average range, worth it compared to the food and service.

Parking They have parking space in front of the store, can contain up to 4 or 5 cars. Also, there are some guys to help with...
