Been a while since the last time i'm visited Bogor, and this time I decided to visit Kluwih Sunda Authentic for lunch. As usual, I ordered bunch of dishes 😬. Let me introduces my orders for you, start from Sate Maranggi ala Kluwih (this one is the best 👍🏻, totally recommended, their Sate Maranggi / Beef Satay is totally easy to love 🥰), Sate Ayam ala Kluwih (although this one can't compete with their Sate Maranggi, their Chicken Satay is pretty nice to try), I also ordered 2 types of Empal which is original Empal and Empal Ceurik (note to you, Ceurik is Sundanese style sambal using green tomato, and boy, their Empal Ceurik is really hot and spicy, not recommended for you whom isn't a big fan of hot and spicy sambal 🥵), I also ordered Ayam Kalasan Dada (since i'm is a big fan of chicken breast meat, this one is pretty delicious with sweet and savory flavors), I also ordered Udang Sambel Pete (which is really spicy as well and the shrimp is really tiny 🥵, and as usual, i'm not recommending this one for you guys whom isn't a big fan of hot and spicy flavors) and last I also ordered Nila Bakar (since i'm isn't a big fan of fish, but my Brother want to try it, well in my opinion this fish is fishy like the other freshwater fish, so I didn't recommend this one for you guys 😰). For beverages, I ordered Es Cincau Hijau (Iced Green Grass Jelly) and Es Podeng. In the entrance of this restaurant, you can also buy Shaped Old Style Sugar Candy from handcart candy seller 😊. For this visit to Kluwih Sunda Authentic, i'm gonna rate them 2.5 out of 5. For more info about foods, kindly visit...
Read moreMy 2nd time dining in this restaurant but the level of service was not to my expectation, i brought my family of 12 people for memorable moment unfortunately ended up with dissapoinment. Order was placed 10 minutes after we arrived, 25 minutes later our beverages were served with 1 missing item that was still fine. After waiting for nearly an hour, we realized 3 tables next to us who came later than us got their meal completed while we only got drinks so far. Server was notified and he went to check. 20 minutes later he brought only grilled fish and bakwan nothing else, after 20 minutes, we called again the server to find out the rest of our order, he checked again and never come back. I finally talked to a lady server (didn't recall her name) and mentioned the issue, she went to check and then our orders were served 17 minutes after. Adding to the dissapoinment all our food were COLD not even warm ( grilled fish, nasi tutug, sauted kangkung, sauted bean sprout). My advise please served the food at the same time if they ordered package other wise remove them from the menu if you have challenge to serve that and have a supervisor around to check customer's satisfaction and rectify the issue on the spot. We spent over a million just to be dissapointed. Definetly 1 hour 41 minutes from ordering till the food served is unacceptable, it's...
Read moreKluwih Sunda, Bogor — their special menu is the lazy employee.
Came in hungry for Sundanese food. Left hungry and annoyed.
As we arrived, a kind lady from upstairs said, “We’re done, take our seat.” So we tried to go up then bam. Staff stops us like we’re trying to break in. “Upstairs is dark, mati lampu” they said. Umm… no it’s not? The lights are on. We said we’re okay with it. Still, they refused. Why? Because they “haven’t filled the downstairs.” Oh, and then they had the audacity to ask us to write our names on a waiting list. Waiting list for who exactly? The ghosts? No one else was waiting. We were just standing there like idiots while empty seats were literally glowing upstairs.
Let’s be real: the staff just didn’t feel like serving upstairs. Lazy, dismissive, and completely unbothered by customers walking out.
And the best part? They didn’t say a single thing when we left. No “sorry,” no “we’ll sort it out,” nothing. Just dead eyes and vibes.
Also, looking back… a lot of the reviews for this place feel paid or fake. Because the reality? Doesn’t match the hype at all.
If you want good food and basic respect as a customer, this ain’t the place. One star for the sambal. Zero for...
