Izumiya Restaurant @ GAIA ENCLAVE — Restaurant in City of Medan

Come to this place twice, both in weekend. The food taste good for me. But may be because of weekend and busy and also this i come alone, the service is worse than i ever feel in other place. At first, i wanted to try the other restaurant upstair but, it got quite a long queue, and i didn’t want to wait further so i went dowstair, the staff upstair said i can order the menu upstair minimal 2 item in izumiya downstair. Then when i went downstair, i had a seat in front of sushi bar( which i request) and they gave me a menu, after a couple minute i ask the staff in front of me that i want to order food, then she ask her friend and her friend asking another but yet nobody come. Then i asked for other staff, after a couple people i asked finally a waitress come to pick up my order. After i order some food and drink, i ask her whether i can order dessert from upstair, after thinking a while she said can maximum one item but you need to wait quite a long time, i said it’s ok no problem, whisch the next step i expected was giving me menunto choose but what had happened was she said just wait i don’t know you’ll get it or not and she go to other table to pick up order. At that moment i’m quite surprise with the attitude and answer, then i don’t ask anymore. After all, my food come about 5 min may be, and after i finish all my food, actually i’m ready to go, some staff give me the menu of dessert upstair. Cause i’ve already lazy to ask i just order a parfrait, it come not long after that. May be weekend and there’ s some children having birthday there making the service make me so uncomfortable. I ordered ocha and lemon tea, and it took a really long time for them to arrive. My food was served first, and I almost finished my meal before the drinks came. I asked multiple times for the drinks to be served. At first, I understood that the restaurant was crowded.

The same thing happened when I asked for my dessert, while finishing my meal. I had already asked the staff and I clearly saw him deliver the order to the kitchen staff. I waited a long time, but the dessert didn't come out. It was strange because I saw the staff talking and laughing inside. By this time, the restaurant was no longer crowded, as it was above 9pm.

I asked several times about my dessert, but they hadn't started making it. Since I couldn't wait any longer, I demanded to cancel the order. Only then did they start preparing my dessert, right when I asked for cancel. It was disappointing because these desserts are not complicated, and all the ingredients were ready. I love the mango parfait. I always order it when I visit Izumiya. But tonight's parfait was not well made, it's obvious they made it rushly. There was too much whipped cream with almost no mango sauce.

Rewrite another review for this time visit. My first experience with my family here was really worst (the baby chair drama & rude staff).

but indeed, I appreciated that izumiya gave a good feedback with gaving us a voucher to dine in again.

I visit again with my friends, indeed they improve their services. Finally enjoy the food here without any hestitation.

The staff name “Fahri” indeed so friendly and being so helpful. He will directly come to out table everytime we need anything even when me and my friends just try to look for staff and here he comes. I visit again for takeaway and still he is very helpful and friendly 😊
