Akari Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

Cool Spot of a Japanese Restaurant with affordable price with its Freshness and Quality and also Flavor or the Dishes. I ordered mixed sashimi boat 🛶 dish (sashimi platter) it was only 150k IDR with many Varieties and they even let me change a bit of the sashimi choice.

I said I don’t like squid, crab or egg and they changed it for me so I was very Happy that the Chef and Staff there let me do that. It was big enough for one person I was full after!

The Presentation was great and I didn’t have an upset stomach after eating here this is my second time at this Place and for my hubby that doesn’t eat Seafood he also like it because there’s also other dishes in the Menu.

Waitresses was super Friendly to us and good Service we are Happy and Definitely will comeback again in the near future.

The dessert was also good. This place has indoor and outdoor we chose outdoor because we want to do people watching and it is right beside or across from the roundabout of small Balinese Temple and the markets and just walking distance you can go to the Spa. If you like Japanese food give this place a chance!

The place is maintained and clean and has semi-open kitchen too :)

After walking into this restaurant, you feel like you are transported to Japan! We recently went in January 2021 and wanted to share our lovely experience.

When we arrived we were the only customers there and we decided to try a few things on the menu. Note that there are at least 8 other Japanese restaurants on the same street alone and we planned on trying all of them!

The menu was really extensive and generally on the pricier side. We ordered the Ekonomi bento which includes Chicken Katsu, agaedashi tofu, rice, salad and miso soup for 55k which is a fantastic deal. We also tried the California roll and shrimp tempura roll. All was very nice.

We would be interested in coming back to try other menu items as the pictures all look very nice! Great place for a nice date the is a little more quiet and...

Staff was friendly and responsive, and the atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately, my order (the vegetarian sushi) came after almost all three of my family members finished their food (including a hot pot dish that was ordered a good 15 mins after the vegetarian sushi was ordered). I had followed up the order twice, and their reasoning for the delay was that they had to “fry the vegetables”. I found this to be a funny excuse as the vegetarian sushi consisted of only raw vegetables (see pictures)! The taste of the food was alright (but can’t comment on the non-vegetarian dishes) and the sushi was crumbly. Not really keen to come back again but I do hope they improve their food...
