I’ve been a regular customer to the Daily Baguette- visiting once a week or so. However recently had a very unpleasant experience so won’t be back again. On Sunday the 14th of April 2024 at the Sanur store at about 1pm. We were served by “Tya” who mistakenly added an extra coffee to the bill (this was no problem as I understand mistakes and miscommunications happen). I did not notice when paying as the invoice said “iced white” so I thought it was a surcharge for the iced coffee. However I asked immediately after I paid when I sat down and looked at the bill more closely. We explained to Tya politely that there were 2 of us and we only ordered 2 coffees (not 3) and to please refund for one coffee (this was right after ordering/paying and the coffee had not even started to be made yet). What was upsetting was that instead of apologising and easily fixing the small issue, she rudely argued that we should have checked and they couldn’t refund as we had already paid. It was extremely poor customer service, ruined my day, and has put a bad taste in my mouth about the Daily Baguette. Really disappointing and unexpected for an established business like this. I will be giving my future business to one of the nearby bakeries/cafes who I’m sure understand the basics of customer service and who treat their customers with respect. Went to daily baguette sanur today, at first everything was okay. We ordered egg benedict, chick burger, brekkie muffin, club sandwich, and several drinks. However, when the club sandwich came (which is the last one that came other than anything else) the chip and toastie was burnt, you know when you see it immediately. My mom tried to ask the waiter and she just said ‘no’ and it was their standard?? It was legit very hard dry chip ever, the color is not pleasant at all. Then the manager came and said that they will change the entire club sandwich but it will take some time, and again he said that it is their standard. I feel like the way they handle local and foreigner is different. Moreover, after the new club sandwich came, the chip looks better and it’s still hot (which means they change it fr) but the toast was cold, we assumed that they only change the chips but not the sandwich (forgot to take pic). Honestly my parents are regular customer, it’s not their first time ordering club sandwich, so they know it’s not like the usual sandwich. We left and paid full price even though we don’t eat the club sandwich at all (which is not a problem).
