I would normally venture out to other restaurants but as a guest at SUDAMALA I didn’t want to leave! The staff is sooo amazing…professional, sweet & with a desire to please that is incomparable!

Breakfast is the best anywhere that I’ve stayed! 4 fresh pressed juices, a gorgeous fruit plate, fresh baked French croissants & an amazing menu selection from egg as Benedict on ciabatta to smoothie bowls, granola or Balinese dishes. All delish!! Dinner is lovely I eat lightly at night so I’d have sautéed mushrooms with garlic, steamed rice & local veggies but there are fish chicken meat & Indonesian offerings.

I had an absolutely wonderful luncheon experience at Ares Restaurant Sudamala Hotel. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor—clearly crafted with great care and creativity. A special thank you to Chef Dorin, whose passion and skill truly shine through in every bite. His attention to detail and unique touch elevated the entire meal.

Atmosphere is amazing, service is impeccable, where this beach side dining falls flat on its face is food quality. Drinks were good though. But the Tuna Tataki was barely edible, overcooked tuna with black pepper and cream cheese I think. The Tom Yum Goong was some kind of brown broth who’s flavor profile in no way resembled Tom Yum, the Seafood Risotto lacked any definition and reminded me of a seafood porridge, and the striploin that I ordered medium rare came out closer to medium well, and was an abysmally tough cut of meat.
