I was invited here by a local Balinese friend on the last day of my trip--and boy do I want to go back again if I ever visit Sanur in the future.
As someone who spends a lot of time in Jakartan cafes, I dare say that this is one of the best Japanese V60s I've ever had this year. The locals beans were unique, and props to the barista who successfully brought those bright fruity notes to life in the coffee! Their pumpkin spiced latte was also delicious, with the right amount of spice and sweetness. I also tried their smoked salmon bagel and tomato salad. The bagel was tasty and the tomato salad was refreshing, especially with the cubed cheese. Considering the quality, the price for both coffee and food were reasonable for me.
The ambiance was comfy in the cafe area and they are integrated to an aesthetic florist that also sells local crafts. I appreciate how they specify space for work and for just hanging out and chatting with friends. The staffs were friendly and accomodating. I was somewhat nervous at the smallish space since I was carrying a suitcase and a big backpack to go to the airport right after the coffee session, but they were nice enough to help me put my luggage away (maybe because they also said that they've partnered with Stasher for tourists who wants to put their luggage in the cafe while they stroll around Sanur area).
Overall a worthy visit for a quick coffee fix or a longer relaxing coffee...
Read moreHad such a lovely chat with Sam, the barista. He's just the sweetest - so down-to-earth and genuine. Love how he took the time to share some book recommendations with me. Can't wait to drop by again and catch up with you, Sam! ✨️🤍
The place has a wonderful aroma. Even though I frequently go cafe-hopping and meet many friendly servers, the experience here feels uniquely special.
I was so excited to try their pumpkin spice latte - got mine iced while my friend went for the hot one. Both amazing. I loved how light and refreshing it was, not drowning in milk at all. The cinnamon hit me right away - so fragrant. Most important, they nailed the espresso strength just right which let me catch this wonderful nutmeg kick that I wasn't expecting but totally loved.
I noticed they sell quite a few local products here - Made Tea caught my eye since it's honestly one of my go-to tea brands whenever I'm in Bali. I absolutely love how thoughtfully they've decorated every corner of this place. From the carefully arranged books to the beautiful flowers, and even their choice of earthy colors throughout the café. It all just works so perfectly together.
You know how sometimes places look amazing on Instagram but disappoint in real life? Not here! It's exactly as cozy and welcoming as their social media suggests. Maybe...
