Kayo Manis — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

We stopped in here for dinner based on great reviews and they literally exceeded our expectations on every front. This is a 5 star gem for sure. Best place we have been in Bali and quite frankly for a very long time. The food was delightful, the service was sincere and friendly, the atmosphere was soothing and comfortable, and the prices were very reasonable given the quality. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a mango mojito - she said it was by far the best she has had in a very long time. Then they gave us a gratis starter which was a mix of some diced veggies with pureed pumpkin and some crunchy topping - the mix of flavors and textures was great. The presentation was also very nice. Then they brought some fresh toasted bread with a garlic butter that had a flavor of cream cheese also - it was very nice. Then for an actual starter we ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls which were by far the best I have ever had and that is saying a lot as we were just in Vietnam and frequent Vietnamese restaurants. The wrapper was fresh and the mix of veggies was perfect. Then came our main course which I had the fish special (but I substituted mashed potatoes for the rice - and they were happy to do so). The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection and the sauces and accompanying vegetables was a perfect blend of taste and texture. My wife had the duck breast with polenta. The duck was tender with a crispy skin and great sauce. The polenta was rich and creamy. Everything was spectacular. When they asked if we wanted anything else we told them no, but they brought us a wonderful little sorbet with fruit gratis. The environment in the restaurant was soothing and relaxed with a nice music playing and a beautiful environment. I am seldom astounded by the quality of a restaurant, but this place blew away my expectations in every aspect. I would HIGHLY recommend this place as the best restaurant in Bali and will most definitely be back. All I can say is WOW! Since there are several branches and not sure if the others are of this quality make sure to go to the one at Jl. Danau Tandakan...

I found this restaurant online just based on the Google reviews and it did work perfectly for us.

I went to their website and communicated with Bagus who booked a table for our small party of five people, provided all necessary information to me and patiently answered all my questions. All communication went smoothly and the dinner itself was very well organized.

Despite of us being late because of the heavy rain, they kept our table in the air conditioned room. They made a special flower decoration for my Dad and put it on the table to create festive vibes which was really precious.

The food was amazing. We had salad for starter, and as main courses we ordered surf & turf and tuna steaks which were great. Portions are big enough, and the taste is delicious.

All staff is super friendly and very attentive to all our needs. We were very happy and grateful for a wonderful evening.

very disapointing especially the service..very very slow even for bali standart...on menu there is imported wine by the glass....had to hear...sorry tidak ada.....no effort was made in offering other imported wine....only local wine.... very long waiting.... more than 15 minutes to serve the drinks..... n mineralwater was ice cold although we specified not cold...the local wine was a miniportion....n was only us and another table.....so no excuse accepted that they were busy my pasta was swimming in the sauce...too much cocked....my friends pasta average...def. not to repeat....

the special of the day was not offered....boss was absent....loud talking n chating of staff near the guest table....really irritating....we had to call the chatting staff a few times ...pse more wine...pse take away plates...pse bring dessert list....the worst service ever...not to recommend...n that happen in hight...
