Simply Brew Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

You may think this is a normal coffee shop, but no, it has something more than just being a coffee shop. Let me share my take on experiencing Simply Brew.

So, upon entering, you would notice a giant machine and may wonder " what's up with da machine and noises ? ". That, viewers, is coffee beans roaster. Yes, Simply brew provide fresh roasted coffee beans and also mix their own coffee beans blend everyday. From what i ask (the brewer staff), they taste test their house blend everyday to find out what flavor profiles the blend would show that day.

Now for you guys, hardcore coffee enthusiasts, pardon my amateur coffee recognizing skill (still learning how to really enjoy coffee).

Now, as this posted (2019 mid April), i order unsweetened cold flat white. What i got is Java, Sumatra, and Brazilian coffee beans blend. Resulting in an milky, smooth, a bit acidic taste at the beginning, slow build-rounded bitterness of coffee and dark chocolate at the end. This is not a kind of sharp bitterness, but subtle and really enjoyable for me (for someone that still can't enjoy black coffee). I was surprised with the taste that i got, also delighted at the end.

As for the food, it not their own creation, they got supplied for that. I would not comment with that.

So, the OG brewer is a certified brewer as shown on the wall, proving the customer could expect a high quality products. Aside from that, apparently this is not just a coffee shop. Simply Brew is mainly a coffee beans supplier and a certified coffee learning place too (ask the staff for further details).

The shop has 2nd floor too and an open area (without AC) on the 1st floor. I would say this place is a very good place to hang out and chill. Whether for studying or small meetings, this cozy, somewhat quiet atmosphere really hit the mark. I would guess, this shop contains 20-30-ish seating capacity. As for parking space, 5-8 cars and bunch of motorcycles.

For the price, it ranged from IDR 30-50 k.i would say, Middle to middle-high price range. Also, this shop is only open from Monday - Saturday from 8 AM - 5 PM only.

Their Vietnamese drip and ice‑coffee creations are must‑tries, and they even offer coconut affogato and a selection of light cakes—perfect to pair with your brew .

The vibe is relaxed yet intentional, with a semi‑open layout that lets in fresh air and natural light—a cozy spot to work, chat, or just unwind . The service is outstanding, with friendly staff and owners who take time to customize your cup and make you feel welcome .

HANDS DOWN for my favourite capp so far in Bali !!! Drove away 15km from Kuta to Sanur to visit this coffee shop and it's very worth it every single km ☕ One of the best capp that I've tasted so far, very extraordinary and very memorable capp ! At the very first sip, you can smell and taste the chocolaty flavour from the capp, it's very magical like you're drinking a hot chocolate but realise you're drinking a capp 🍫🍫🍫 It sounds very crazy but trueeee 😂, The Lady Barista told me their use blend coffee from Brazil (if I'm not mistaken, pls correct me if I'm wrong) and Batak Hulu for their spro, it should give the spro chocolaty taste and spice at the end 👍👍👍 I also try their Illusion (spro + condensed milk) and their signature drink, Gold Thunder (spro + beer, and why? Why not?). You should try their another signature drink as well when you visit there. I was looking for their selection for filter coffee/manual brew but they're run out of stock, because Ci Vivi, their roaster and owner, was in Amsterdam 😆 (I also want to meet her so bad because I want to talk about coffee and learn as much as I can from her, maybe in my next visit to Bali !!!)
