Milestone Waffle & Coffee — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

I arrived at Milestone early this morning, and upon walking in I saw that the two male employees were washing their face and rinsing their mouth several times in the two sinks used to wash dishes, one behind the counter and the other at the entrance of the kitchen area. When I asked one of the employees why they did not use the toilet instead, the response was alarming. The response was, without acknowledging any wrongdoing or apologizing for this obviously unsanitary practice, "I am getting ready to pray" ("Saya mau sembahyang"). This practice of washing one's face and rinsingy mouth in the kitchen sinks is unhealthy and likely unlawful too given the current Covid-19 regulations in effect in Indonesia. Absolutely wonderful caffeine oasis in Sanur! It is safe to say that I had one of my best mochas in here. They use real chocolate and the coffee they themselves roast is out of this world. Even the frappe mocha tastes great! Their waffles, although not entirely genuine, have nonetheless a very enjoyable crunch and the portion is hearty. The omelet sandwich is good too although I would tell them to go easy on the sweet onion relish.

The service is very friendly and the owner is the sweetest little thing from Java who worked in the coffee industry for a while and you can clearly tell. The venue is simply and nicely decorated and the upstairs sitting area is spacious and airy.

You just NEED to visit this place...

Stumbled upon this cafe accidentaly, because actually I was planning to go to other cafe next door, and I was kinda glad to give this cafe a shot.

The food was incredible! We followed the barista/cashier’s recommendation and he’s not wrong. The food was incredible, especially the Waffle Nachos.

The 2nd floor was really beautifully decorated. We felt homey instantly. One slight recommendation was to tweak the song’s playlists a bit because it was way too random, and some of the songs kinda threw us off a bit.

We had a great time and we will definitely recommend this cafe to all our friends who are visiting Sanur area in Bali.

And, we’ll certainly be back to...
