HYANGTOGOL AUTHENTIC KOREAN BBQ AGED MEAT — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

A sorely disappointing experience. Staying nearby, we passed by hyangtogol everyday and saw that their reviews are good. Wanting to try something different, we decided to come in for lunch on a Tuesday. We may have chosen the wrong time to go as the restaurant was full of influencers running around snapping photos and videos of the restaurant. My mother in law sat down right before 11 ordering a seafood pancake and that pancake wasn’t at our table until 11:45 after asking about it twice. We ordered a combo set and that came to our table at 12:10 pm. I understand they need to promote their restaurant, but when every actual paying customer is complaining to you…there’s a problem. It’s unfortunate, because the food itself is decent. We ordered a seafood pancake, a meal with two pork belly dishes, seafood soup, and jjapchae. Jjapchae was good and the sides are decent. I would skip the pancake as it’s very thick and eggy. Sauces and lettuce wraps for the meat came out way after the meat came. Overall the slow service ruined our experience and I would urge you to look elsewhere to eat...

발리한달살기하면서 리뷰쓰는곳은처음입니다 호주에서살다가 발리여행온지3주차들어가면서 한식이땡겨 찾아보고 리뷰가좋아서들어온 식당 들어가자마자 가게손님은없었구 홀직원은 5명넘게있어도 제대로 안내해주는 직원도없고 된장찌개 김치찜 김치전 계란말이 시켰는데 된장찌개 먼저나오더니 10분이지나도 다른음식이 같이안나오네요…. 계란말이가 제일늦게나와서 먹을려고봤더니 검은실뭉치가같이있고 리뷰에서 제일우려하던 이물질이나오네요ㅠㅠ 그러고 뭐가나왔다고 직원을 부르니까 바꿔줄까? 물어봐서 바꿔달라했더니 또한세월 걸리구 나온걸먹을려고했는데 처음나왔던계란말이와 맛도다르고 크기도다르네요 그래서 주방을봤는데 주방직원들이 다쳐다보구있더라구요 저희둘밖에없는 식당에서 둘이진짜 무안해죽는줄알았네요 그래서남기고그냥나왔습니다 나가는데도 결제하는데 불친절함을 느낀곳은 처음이네요 제가감히이야기드리자면 사장님 리뷰보신다면 광고 리뷰 홍보 다좋은데 신경조금만더써주시면 완벽할거같아요

This is my first time writing a review during my one-month stay in Bali. Having lived in Australia, I’ve been traveling in Bali for three weeks now, and I started craving Korean food. I found this restaurant through good reviews and decided to give it a try.

As soon as I walked in, there were no other customers, but there were more than five staff members in the hall. However, none of them properly guided or greeted me. I ordered soybean paste stew, kimchi stew, kimchi pancake, and rolled omelet. The soybean paste stew came out first, but even after 10 minutes, none of the other dishes arrived together.

The rolled omelet was the last to come out, and when I was about to eat it, I found a clump of black thread mixed in. Just as some reviews had warned, I encountered a foreign object in the food.

When I called the staff to point it out, they casually asked, “Should we replace it?” I said yes, but it took an extremely long time for the replacement to come. When it finally arrived, it tasted different from the first one, and the size was inconsistent as well. I glanced at the kitchen and noticed the kitchen staff staring at us, making us feel very uncomfortable.

Being the only two customers in the restaurant, we felt so embarrassed that we left most of the food uneaten and decided to leave. Even when paying, I encountered unfriendly service, which was a first for me.

If I may offer some advice to the owner: I understand the importance of advertising and maintaining good reviews, but if you could focus a bit more on the service and food quality, this place could...

We came here to have our dinner due to others restaurant are very full and now I can tell why.

Service terrible, staffs are arrogant.

One of the staff saying that can refill twice for banchan, another says if refill need to charge for Rp 15.000. After we made some arguments with another staff, then they agree to gave us another one.

Our drinks were finish there was no other customers at the time, pressing the bell is useless, no staff is even alert to the bell, until we need to bring the bottle to them to ask for refill.

Food is just ok. Price is not acceptable.

This is my first time having dinner here also...
