Omang Omang — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

We came as external guests for the beach BBQ. We cycled past it a few days prior and the setting looked very nice. Unfortunately the quality and selection of the food was a complete disappointment, especially given the fairly high price for Bali standards of 550k++ per person. Overall our worst dining experience in Bali yet.

The BBQ was Middle Eastern themed. We were expecting some bold, rich and aromatic flavors. Most dishes were bland and lacked proper seasoning. The overall execution just wasn’t good at all. The beans had no flavor, the curried cauliflower was overcooked, the grilled chicken skewers were dry, … It didn’t help that most of the food was only lukewarm. Finally, we were very underwhelmed by the level / sophistication of the dishes. We were expecting some higher priced ingredients. The only seafood was prawns and a mackerel. We often fly Emirates and enjoy better Middle Eastern food both in their lounges and on the planes.

We came fairly hungry and excited but both ate just enough to not be hungry anymore and quickly left. Unironically, the watermelon on the dessert section was one of the highlights.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bali and ate breakfast at Omag Omang on a daily basis. The early morning food spread is incredible! Such a large selection for everyone to have something. There is an egg station (halal and non halal stations), bread, fruit, juices, cereals, and so much more. You will not be disappointed.

Every member was incredibly kind and welcoming. They made our group so very comfortable for the entire week that we were there. Dudun and Martini were consistent servers of ours and they made sure each day we were cared for at our tables. They were so attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty.

I only had dinner there one night because our plans didn't include dinner for that day. My steak was done exactly how I liked it.

Above the call of duty, Dudun gave us recommendations on places to visit while in Bali and would remember us the next day to ask if we had a good time. This might be small but the extra care and attentiveness made the experience that...

Food is okay here. Service is not great.

Had the cesaer salad with the dressing on the side. Nothing special, a little difficult to eat. Wagyu burger was very dry. They didn't ask how my husband wanted it cooked. It was very confusing when we were seated to figure out who we ordered from and who would get us the check.

We were almost turned away from our first breakfast here. We already paid at check-in, and they didn't have it. But we ended up getting seated while they called reception.
