The food is great and delicious. No doubt about that and it looks fabulous, a joy for the eye. The menu is good and various. Many dishes were new to us. The paella is very tasty.
The staff is friendly and they do their very best. You can see they are trained. Never the less there is a lot improvement for a restorant like this. With "like this" I mean it is more pricy dan average in Sanur, the decoration and ambience looks great and tells you, you are in good surroundings.
We were with 7 persons and were seated in front of the stairs and all ordered different dishes. I asked if it was possible to serve all dishes together so we can eat together. We know it is difficult in these part of the region. The staff told us the paella takes the longest time to prepare and will take 20 minutes to cook. No problem, then serve everything together with the paella.
I got my dish after about 20 minutes and waited for another 5 minutes with my dish in front of me. No other dish was served and asked about it. The staff remind me of the preparing time of paella which is 20 minutes. I told her that that was 5 minutes ago. Five minutes later another dish came up and we started our dinner. Every 5 minutes a dish was served and after 40 minutes the paella was served. As told before the food was delicious. The experience to eat together at the same time was unfortunatelly not present.
On the second floor there where also people present. The wooden floor and the moving of the chairs made a conversation on our table not easy. By asking something about it the staff told us that there was a kind of party ongoing. Time is not an issue while dining with friends and family. Even after the party upstairs ended there was a lot of noise from moving chairs. Now it was the staff to clean everything and preparing again. Lifting a chair and moving while not making that horrible noice can be very easy.
After a lot of clients were gone and we had our dessert, the staff start preparing every table again which is very normal. To turn the music up to a level we couldn't have a normal conversation again is something else. The chairs upstairs seemed to be in place.
I rated 3 stars for this restaurant and that is not for the food. The food deserves more than 3 stars. Never the less, there is a lot to improve to make it a better experience to...
Read moreHappy to know they open in Sanur because it's much much nearer for us driving to Sanur compared to Canggu 😂 We joined their first Sunday Brunch at Sanur and couldn't be happier to share the review.
Ambiance : a semi open, two storey restaurant with ceiling fan and air con. Still hot and humid tbh, so better to come around evening. Live music on special occasion, bonus point! Hand sanitizer on table, double bonus point! Buuut, I did see some staffs not wearing masks...
Taste : clams tasted weird and cold, probably because of the white wine or not warm when served? Others were fine, we loved the paella and other tapas such as ceviche, croquettes, and pulpo. Alfajores served with vanilla gelato was an excellent choice to end our brunch. Who doesn't love dessert?🤤
Service : as we're only 2 and seated at the back, it's easy to "underlook" us as all the staffs were busy attending bigger crowd/table. Huge disappointment and there's no apology at all from the service staff. However there's one lady with black frame glasses being attentive to us and it's because of her its 4 star instead of 3.
Price : cheap as we only paid 250k/person for a buffet, but do mind that there's certain food you can't request for more. We've been to Pescado Canggu and the ala carte price is still reasonably priced.
Parking space : free roadside parking for motorbikes and cars, as long as you don't block others.
Menu : extensive drinks menu I'd say, good one as they have a bar. Didn't see the a la carte menu as it was a Sunday Brunch day.
Overall it was a good dining experience, but since we're seated nearby toilet, having people walking in and out of it was extremely uncomfortable. We finally asked to be moved to other table that was booked but empty - way passed the booking time. Also, pls just print a small Sunday Brunch menu, in details, on table so that we know what we're getting..and your staffs don't have to keep explaining to every...
Read moreWe visited Pescado in Sanur during our stay in Sanur area and chose it for a date night. Although the restaurant has other branches in Bali, this location felt especially cozy and homey. The staff were very friendly and made good recommendations, which was helpful as it was our first time trying Spanish cuisine.
The restaurant had a casual yet inviting atmosphere with warm lighting, a family-friendly vibe, and a busy but comfortable energy. It felt like a good place to enjoy a long meal while chatting and relaxing.
The seating was casual and comfortable, with a cozy layout suited for both couples and groups. While we didn’t bring our children, the environment seemed adaptable enough for families.
We ordered Croquetas Caseras, Beef Cheek, and their signature Paella Negra. The croquetas were excellent and a must-try starter. The beef cheek was decent though not a standout. The Paella Negra was generous in portion — even the smaller size for two was more than enough, and we couldn’t finish it. The taste was balanced and approachable, fitting well to an Indonesian palate.
The service was very friendly and welcoming. The paella took some time to prepare, but this was expected given the dish, and the pacing still felt acceptable for a relaxed dinner.
The restaurant and restrooms were clean and well-kept. Accessibility appeared straightforward, though we did not use high chairs or child gear during this visit.
Meals were in the range of 350k–400k IDR per adult. Considering the portion sizes and quality, the value felt fair for Sanur.
This is a recommended spot in Sanur if you want to try Spanish food in a casual, welcoming setting. The Paella Negra is the standout dish, and the croquetas make an excellent starter. A good choice for couples or families looking to enjoy something different from the usual Balinese and Indonesian...
