Read moreWe had lunch here and it was average at best. The Indian man who was hosting (assuming he was the manager/owner) was kind and accomodating- I am a bigger person and he ensured to seat us in a booth, and pulled the table out for me before I sat down. However, the place was quiet and all of the staff stared at us the whole time, as they don’t have anything else to do. The vibe of the staff was off from the moment we walked in- very little smiles and most of them didn’t greet us upon entry or exit, only a couple of them did. We ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh. The dishes were fine, but they weren’t amazing. The lamb used in the rogan josh was on the bone and had quite a bit of gristle/fat- it would be much better if the lamb was boneless, especially considering the price. The chicken tikka masala was okay, but the meat to sauce ratio could’ve been better. The ocean view was lovely, but the staff need more training on how to make people feel warm and accommodated. Stop staring at customers when you have nothing else to do, and show the true Bali hospitality, especially when you charge 850k rupiah for 2 dishes, 2 naan, 2 rice and 2 waters. I would be hesitant to return unless service quality improves. If you want good, authentic Indian food, go to Indian Curry Plus...
Read moreHands down the best Indian food we had outside India. I was reluctant to try Indian food as we weren't homesick yet, since it was just our first day outside India and our first in Bali, but ended up loving the food here so much and that speaks volumes.
We ordered biryani, butter chicken and naan. The handi chicken biryani was so delicious and yummy with the right amount of spices, and a serving of the mandatory raita, and the biryani was so much better than the one that we had on the Bangalore Chennai highway the previous night. The naan and butter chicken was also perfectly made. The ice tea was a soul soother on that hot tropical afternoon.
We could not find any difference between the food here and the one in India, and that's a testament to the fact that their chef is an experienced professional. Kudos to you!
The only area of improvement we saw was when the waiters forgot that we also ordered a complementary drink with the Biryani which they gladly replaced with something better. The service was excellent otherwise. Special shoutout to the service team for their outstanding service.
And finally, oh, that breathtaking view of the ocean makes it all the more beautiful.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to have some authentic great...
