Oh my goodness, my first meal, the Calamari pineapple, was amazing. So very chilli hot, but my palate adjusted, and I was able to eat and enjoy it all. The Calamari was very chewy, but then maybe that's how they eat their calamari? Still, the flavours were so very good. There was lots of onion and capsicum, too. Their fresh juices are very good also, along with their smoothies. My daughter had the Mahi Mahi fish and vegetables and then ordered it the next time we were there. I think the bill was about $23 for the 3 of us. The following day, I ordered Nasi Goreng veg because I needed to slow down my digestive system but also ordered a glass of the Hatten white wine. As I had only previously tasted the Two Islands Savignon Blanc, I was pleasantly surprised with the very fruity white that went very well with the Nasi Goreng. My son-in-law had chicken satay, and that also was very tasty. So, for 3 of us, including water, soda, coke, smoothie, food, and wine, was $35. Big serves of food too and no + +. My nasi Goreng, water, and wine worked out...
Read moreIf I could give this place one star I would...my boyfriend and I had been seated at our table for About 15 minutes or so and we’re just about to make our order when the server came up and asked us to move to a table out on the sidewalk as he had a large group wanting a table....seeing as we had already been there for a while I said no. The server was rather insistent about it so we decided to just leave and go elsewhere as their menu is identical to a few locations on the area. It too bad because we had been recommended this place but some friends we’d made during our trip and were looking forward to trying their food. I worked in the service industry for years and we would have never done that. They are always busy when I go past there and if that’s the case then maybe next time, larger groups of people may need to wait there turn as everyone does. NOT impressed and I had half a mind to go back and speak to...
Read moreThis place is OK. The highlight is the silly guys that work there playing music and trying to sing. When we arrived they were playing a few songs I know, but unfortunately they did not seem to know the words. It was fun to listen to them none the less. One of the big problems is that it is very hot inside with little airflow, which makes it less that comfortable. I ordered the Ayam Goreng Lalpan, which came of course with the chicken with a local sauce over it, some white rice and some shredded cabbage with a peanut sauce on it. It was OK, but nothing I would order again. My wife had the Babi Kecap which came with the same shredded cabbage and white rice. The flavor was OK, but the pork was a bit tough. Overall we were not big fans of the food we ordered here. The service was pretty good. This is not a place I would be likely to come back to, but it is not bad, just not...
