Be GILI MOOD | East Lombok to the world — Restaurant in Gili Air

What an amazing and wonderful experience. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you come to Gili or travel to Indonesia in general this should be one of the main stops.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this very cosy and characteristic restaurant here in Gili Air. Since the start, we where welcomed by the owner with a great smile. we decided to try their food and just the smell and the atmosphere was enough to fall in love. All the amazing cooks and the staff create the perfect environment to one of the most amazing food experience you'll ever have in your life. And get ready to experience flavors you didn't know the existence. the food is not just incredibly tasty but it's presentation will blow your mind. And comes with interesting stories how each and individual plates are created.

My girlfriend and I have been there several times and tried the all menu. And there wasn't a dish we'd get disappointed.

Best local Restaurant on the Island

My wife and I had dinner at Be Gili Mood Restaurant during our stay on Gili Air, and we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was so cozy and laid-back, perfect for a relaxing evening.

We started with the croquettes, which were crispy, flavorful, and a great choice to kick things off. For our mains, we tried the Ayam Taliwang and Beef Rendang, and wow—both were amazing! The Ayam Taliwang had just the right amount of spice and a delicious smoky flavor, while the Beef Rendang was so tender and packed with rich, comforting spices.

To drink, we had fresh juices that were super refreshing, perfect for the tropical vibe. And dessert? The Kelpon Gor was such a treat! Those little rice balls filled with palm sugar and covered in coconut were the perfect sweet ending.

Absolutely wonderful for gluten free / coeliacs / celiacs!

So grateful to be able to eat Indonesian food safely here as a coeliac! The food is out of this world delicious, better than anything on the island we've found. Beautifully presented, great prices for the quality, and the staff are super friendly and so helpful with dietary requirements. Ask to speak to Behar about the ingredients, or message him on Whatsapp ahead of time.

So far I've tried Jejeruk Ganjor which SO delcious, yellow rice, and beef rendang (Incredibly delicious sauce, beef is very chewy, yet I'd still order it again with chicken or tofu just for the epic sauce!). Will be eating here as often as possible during our 3 week working trip!

Gets booked up from 7pm ish every night, whatsapp them to make a reservation. The restaurant is up front about the fact that it's cooked fresh and so wait time for food can be very long esp if you arrive after 7pm.
