AMS&DAM — Restaurant in Jakarta

I visited AMS and DAM and ordered several items to get a full experience of what the restaurant has to offer. The beef pastrami sandwich arrived first and it was a striking presentation with a generous portion of meat. The flavor was rich and satisfying and the seasoning was well balanced. The only drawback was the amount of fat in the slices which made some bites chewier than expected. After that I tried the beef and cheese sandwich which was served warm and neatly prepared. The texture of the meat was tender and the portion size was very generous. The cheese tasted slightly synthetic but it still blended well with the beef and gave a pleasant creamy finish.

I also ordered the bitterballen with mustard which turned out to be one of my favorite items from the visit. The filling was smooth and flavorful and the exterior was perfectly crisp. It paired beautifully with the mustard which gave it a sharp and tangy contrast. The frosted pancakes were soft and fluffy with a sweet glaze on top that complemented the batter without overwhelming it. To drink I tried the peanut butter coffee which was a standout. It was smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and a mild peanut aroma that was comforting and unique.

The restaurant itself has a pleasant setting and a relaxed atmosphere. The seating is comfortable and the décor creates a warm and inviting vibe. Service is straightforward and efficient and guests are asked to pay before sitting down which helps speed up the ordering process. Overall my experience at AMS and DAM was very enjoyable. The food had character and bold flavors and the portions were more than generous. Coming by my self for working and lunch and will bring take away 1 -2 portions for my son but in 1st floor there no table for one person wichis so many table avail but reseved table, the servant just said it for min order 160k, they asume me not order that much tou... on 2 nd floor so empty and no electricy for charging in the table i prefer... i dont explain to much and walk away.. canceled ...

CAN YOU TEACH THE MANNER and Respect first? yess so both ways respectly, wht u expect I have to smile and say thx for this rudeness ? Who said your barista is my servant too? Who said i have servant at home? This is how you responsed the review about the service at your bussiness? I dropped by AMS&DAM Cafe on a Saturday night and instantly loved the vibe!

It was pretty quiet, with soft, dim lighting that made the place feel warm and homey. The cafe has two floors, both really cozy and definitely Instagrammable.

The menu is quite varied, with lots of tasty options from Dutch-inspired treats like poffertjes (mini pancakes), to pasta, and even fun drinks like their signature Zeezout coffee. The prices are a bit on the pricey side, but honestly, the flavors were worth it. Everything I tried tasted really good.

Service was quick and super friendly, which made the experience even better. I also found this cafe perfect for working (Remote Working or Work From Cafe (WFC)), plenty of power outlets and insanely fast internet (around 413 Mbps download and 309 Mbps upload). Another plus: everything here is cashless, which makes paying super convenient.

Overall, I’d say AMS&DAM is definitely worth visiting whether you’re here to grab good food, get some work done, or just hang out in a nice & cozy spot.

Small note: the cafe closes at 9:00 PM (WIB), and last orders are usually taken around 8:30 PM. So it’s best to come a bit earlier to enjoy everything without...
