New recently open Indonesian restaurant at Central Jakarta. We came here at Sunday evening for family dinner, restaurant was not full, but we had a reservation before. Ambience is very cozy, the restroom is also clean. For the food we ordered Gurame Bakar Madu, Gurame Kuah Tom Yum, Ayam Pandan, Tahu Kipas Udang, Babat Gongso, Tahu Gimbal Udang, Gado Gado, Sup Buntut, Nasi Goreng Babat Anjasmoro, Nasi Goreng Pete Udang, and Mie Aceh Aroem. Gurame size was a bit small for the price they charged, and taste was just okay. Tahu Kipas was not bad, Ayam Pandan was nice and tender. Babat Gongso taste was different from my expectation, although the meat was tender. Gado Gado was just okay, not special. Tahu Gimbal Udang was not bad, the Bakwan Udang was nice. Nasi Goreng was mushy and so oily, it tasted a bit bland, not recommend. Sop Buntut although the meat was tender and quite a lot in one portion, but the side ingredients were sad, only small cubes of carrots were in the soup, no potatoes, celery and fried onion, the soup was just okay. Mie Aceh Aroem’s taste was also not as our expectation, the noodle was mushy and not springy, and too watery. Some part were not mixed well with the spices. And one thing is they put a lot of MSG on the food, I would say it’s a bit too much, so right after we finished our food, we felt very thirsty and dry on our throat. Overall the food’s taste were just okay, portion was a bit small so it’s...

One of the highlights of Aroem is their menu, which not only offers a great variety of coffee and teas but also serves delicious Nusantara (Indonesian) dishes. From classic favorites like nasi goreng to regional specialties, the food is flavorful, fresh, and well-presented. They also have a selection of unique signature drinks that are worth trying. Everything is reasonably priced, making it a good value for the quality.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is generally quick even during busy times. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings, but the atmosphere stays laid-back and enjoyable. If you’re in Jakarta and looking to enjoy a cozy ambiance with tasty local flavors, Aroem Jakarta is definitely a spot you’ll want to visit. Highly...
Read moreCame here to celebrate my dad's birthday and we got complimentary banana split which turned out very nice in a quite big portion; they gave it for free even without asking any identity (we brought the birthday cake, though). Tried some of their menus and somehow pretty met my standards from the appetizers to main course : Oxtail Soup, Kampong Fried Rice, Salted Egg Sauced Fried Squid, Tahu Kipas, Soto Semarang (with all the condiments and satay), and Kerapu Saos Rujak. The Kerapu was definitely the star because every things tasted just right, but I have to admit that it's quite pricey yet I don't mind for it was worth every bite. Soto Semarang was okay for me but my mom and sisters were somehow disagree because they've had better with cheaper price they said. Overall the service and food were nice, also the staffs were helpful. It was just their beverages that weren't as I expected when I looked at...
