food is fine. i ordered the pork rice, it only consists of 3 medium (or small) cuts of pork meat. the taste is ok and the meat is tender. the soup is quite good too. but i definitely didn't feel full. i also did not finish the rice. so next time i will order an additional pork meat only which i think around idr 90k and share it with 1-2 ppl.

service wise, the waiter n waitresses are nice and patient in general but they told us we cant take away. then i saw a lady took home 5 boxes of pork rice! so i confronted the cashier and she said we should order everything we want to eat at the restaurant and later take them home as if we cant finish them. omg lol. i arrived early when the resto just opened and the lady who brought home the food arrived after me n left shortly, im pretty sure she didnt eat at the restaurant at all. just pls be consistent when u make a policy?

another funny thing, we ordered es jeruk sonkit and sup tubon? waiter said "sorry not ready yet" so we asked how long we should wait..he said ard 20mins...ok we wait...then we finished our rice n those 2 dishes still haven't arrived. so we asked again to different waiter. he said its not available / gak ada. we surprised..ur friend said not ready??? then he said...umm yeah not ready....u need to wait for an hour...he said wkwkwk

but we r in good company n having fun so its not an issue for us. if u r really hungry/bring ur big family/wanna impress ur date, maybe try the resto in 4-6 months when the hype dies down n the waiters have been...

Came in at around 3PM, thought it didnt have any queue but boy I was wrong. It turns out they closed at 3PM and will open again at 4PM so have to wait. And for takeaway, you cant put your name down and order first to be picked up at 4PM, you gotta wait til its 4PM then place your order 🙃

Ordered seporsi bah, but was quite disappointed knowing that in the menu picture we were supposed to get some veggies but only given the rice & pork.

Overall the bipang tastes super good, super crispy, and since theyre using young pigs, their meat was legit tender af it feels like eating chicken and not red meat honestly. Love their sauces as well, the honey lemon cuts through the richness of the fattiness of the pork. Also with added sweetness it just adds another flavor dimension to the salty pork.

P.s. it doesnt work if you keep it overnight then reheat it with airfryer the next day, the skin just wont get crispy. At least in my experience.

So suggest you eat there or if you wanna take away, do eat immediately.

2nd and third visit

Somehow the pork wasnt as tender as the first time I tried it through take away. And it is actually possible to eat there during dinner time on weekdays or early morning around 10ish AM on Sunday.

Tried their ribs also, but.....it was underwhelming. The ribs wasn't tender and kinda hard to chew.

Additionally, I also find their crispy pork a tad too salty. But overall still good. Just not for breakfast cuz its...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that left a lasting impression on me.

One of the standout features of this restaurant was the exceptional service provided by the waitresses, particularly Rara. Despite the restaurant being bustling with customers, Rara was very accommodating and willing to answer all of our questions. Her friendly and helpful demeanor made our dining experience all the more enjoyable.

During my meal, I tried two of the restaurant's signature dishes - Saporsi Boh and Saloneng Boh. The Saloneng Boh dish, in particular, stood out to me. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, and I believe it could be shared between two people. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who is looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Both dishes received a solid 5-star rating from me, as they were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

The Sambal Antuha, in particular, brought back fond childhood memories for me.

My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to offer a variety of sambal options from Kalimantan, so that diners can explore the unique flavors of the region.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience.

I can't wait to return and try some of their other menu offerings. And, of course, a huge thank you to Rara for making our dinner such a...

Bipang Ambawang is the famous roasted pork originally from West Kalimantan that finally has their outlet in Jakarta. It is mostly crowded everyday, including the weekdays. They start to open at 10 AM, that's why on a sunny Sunday morning, we came here earlier and arrived at 9 AM. We were listed in the waiting list. It was already so crowded. At 10 AM sharp, we could enter the restaurant area and get seated. Their signature menu is definitely the roasted pork from the village pigs that are roasted for 10 hours! We could also see directly the roasting process that is surely catching everyone's attention. The roasted pork can be served with rice or fried noodles. They also serve variant of vegetables to accompany the roasted pork. I tried Saporsi Boh (IDR 85,000). A single portion of white rice with bipang (roasted pork), vegetables, sambal antuha (the spicy chili), kit lu (the sweet sauce made with sonkit, and te thow theng (clear broth). The bipang is cut thickly with a tender texture. The skin is crunchy as well. If you eat the bipang as it is, it only tastes plain, so that serve it with kit lu plus sambal antuha if you like spicy. My brother ordered 1/8 portion of bipang. Half for dining in and half for takeaway. You know what, after 10 hours when we arrived at home, the roasted pork skin is still crunchy as before! Well done!

Had my dinner here, it was raining at that time, so the queue are longer than usual, but their service are still fast. I got my table outside (the rain stopped), which I think is better because of the smokes inside. For the food, I actually like all of it, the meat, skin, sauce, drinks. Eventhough there's a lot of things that were sold out that day, but I really recommend you to buy the pig's head, it has the meat and skin, really moist, and cheap. I also ordered the ⅛ meat only, which also good but I think the meat in the head tasted better. They aslo pair the meat with the sambal and sauce, which I actually like it. Tasted like honey sonkit sauce. I actually will be back here to try the sold out menu, hopefully the service and taste are well maintained. Additional: Had to edit my 5⭐ to 4⭐ as when I came a lot of menus are unavailable even though its not that late and still in the evening. But they still maintain their service and food taste, so I hope next time they can prepare more food
