I have a trauma for Ayce sushi ever since Gnki Sush, however, I decided to give this a try, since they are from okinawa sushi. Located within new area in PIK 2, which is East Cost, you can easily spot the place from the main road. Has many tables inside, and outdoor tables as well. Came here during lunch, indoor tables are almost fully occupied. Chairs are comfortable, you can sit for hours. Interior is very nice, colorful elegant. Service is okay, the food came out fast, but sometimes can came out slow as well. This resto doesn't serve any ala carte, only ayce.
Nett all you can eat is IDR 355k/person for 90 minutes. Include drinks which consist of ocha, milo, lemon tea, and hot drinks as well even include coffee machine. Drinks other than ocha and water are overly sweet.
Do ask the waitress how many is per portion, some are two, some only 1 roll/ slice.
Wide selection of sushi, and limited selection of sashimi, I think they only serve salmon for sashimi. Had the chuka idako gunkan, and definitely delicious, although the idako are only a 1-2 chunks on top of the gunkan, but taste okay. Not slimy and fresh. Order 4 of this.
Unagi also taste sweet soft not dry, not the best but at least not fishy and edible.
Sashimi fresh, the bomb and aburi also taste delicious, although, I would ask not to add mayo cause all of it has mayo, maybe their trick to make us full.
Beef enoki taste okay, but very chewy, I end up swallowing whole of the enoki .
I love the fact they serve mini don, so we can try many variety, love the ultimate truffle gyudon, the meat is tender soft , and they you can taste the truffle. Not too much rice which is what I like, not like any other ayce resto which probably add more rice than the protein. Had the karage and ebi tempura, not recommended though, tempura has more batter and karage taste like instant cook karage.
Limited option for dessert, but the pudding resembles gykku.
You can take away left overs with additional IDR 50k/100 gram
Overall my experience here is nice, the sushi they serve are fresh, delicious. Love it that they...
Read moreWe had the premium package (full set with sashimi, 350k/person). Perhaps I should've ordered the sushi more.
They serve sashimi (salmon only, with varieties of serving e.g. tartar, carpaccio, truffle, sesame). But the salmon sashimi tastes rather... bland? It's not savory. The meat looks a bit pale. The tartar and sesame are good, although the rest lean toward a spicier side. The truffle could've been less spicy to make the truffle taste stands out more, even for a little bit. The salmon meat itself suffers from the same issue being bland.
The gyukatsu also worth mentioning. Perhaps it's better to grill it yourself (they offer the option), because it's a little bit overdone IMO. The meat is soft and quite juicy, so that's great.
The unagi is good. It's chewy and the sauce doesn't overdo the meat itself. Also I like the chuka idako; chewy and fresh, although perhaps a little too much with sauce.
I didn't eat a lot of sushi, but I guess that's what they do best here. The fusion ones like volcano and cheesy salmon literally melts in mouth. Even the rice melts, somehow. Great sensation. Again, it's on the spicier side.
Also, nice dessert. The milk pudding is soft, it melts in mouth. The caramel isn't too diabetes-inducing.
No issue with the service. Staff is always ready and helpful. They serve the food fast (5 mins or less) unlike some other AYCE Japanese restaurants. We were given 90 minutes for the meal - we finished around 60 minutes. You can still have beverages and dessert in the last 20 minutes.
355k is quite expensive for the taste. Maybe this is for people who are after the ambience and general...
Read moreCame here at 11am, no one was around so we got the whole restaurant to ourselves which was perfect. Around 11.45am ish, a couple people walked in for lunch, so they start getting busy.
Place is quite small but clean. There’s self serve drink and fried food bar in the middle of the room.
Outdoor seatings are also available, if you prefer.
Staff is polite & attentive, they also understand the menu very well.
The food itself is as one would expect from Hiro Group. Even though it’s AYCE, I’m surprised to see that they didn’t try to pack the sushi with a lot of rice. Actually, I’m very happy to see how little rice they put in the sushi.
Also glad that there’s a pretty good selection of non-sashimi menu for those who don’t eat sashimi.
I wish there’s more sashimi variety than just salmon, but the salmon sashimi varieties are quite good. I love the carpacio and the aburi truffle.
The salmon sashimi itself is clean, fresh & the cut is reasonably thick.
Overall, great experience. Price ranges depending on what you want (sashimi or non-sashimi). If you dont eat sashimi but your partner does you can pay for non-sashimi menu but you have to sit on separate table.
We paid for sashimi menu which was...
