Brew & Barrel Senayan City — Restaurant in Jakarta

Just went here for the Superbowl. It’s a good spot, decent sport bar, and one of the best choice to watch live superbowl in Jakarta. Like any other sport bar in Jakarta, you are allowed to smoke inside so that’s the appeal of watching the game here

For this event, we have to booked first by using whatsapp. There are minimum order too, 150 thousand rupiah for each person. I order americano and for the food they only sell a bunch of specific items for the super bowl. Since I went here for the super bowl, I don’t really paying attention for what I order, so I choose Fish and Chips. Well, it turns out to be quite a big portion. The chips is good, but the fish is too much for me. Tastewise it’s kinda okay but I don’t like the texture, it’s too fluffy and not crispy at all.

But since the ultimate objection is to watch superbowl here, the food is not the main thing. The atmosphere here is so much better compare to other available place in Jakarta. Service is organized as well, even though it’s crowded (I guess they are a pro in helding a sports event like this, such as world cup and etc). Nice experience. Definitely would consider this place if there is any other sport...

NO CASK ALES, poor service garnished with rubbish food. I have been here many times and really enjoyed the food and drinks not this time

The standards have dropped, food quality poor, drinks absolutely rubbish, NO CASK ALE. You should take the sign down you don't deserve the title Brewerk.

So bad was the experience I contacted the head office in Singapore. They did explain there are problems getting the product into Indonesia. In 6 weeks you may have the product back. Expect Early December, suggest you phone before you go.

That said what has gone wrong in the kitchen? there is no excuse for dropping the quality of food. For that the management simply dont care anymore.

Lastly the state of the toilets, get a maintenance man and a couple of cleaners.

Sorry to say, even great service cannot take away from the below par dining experience. Let's start with the positive a. the service staff was friendly and efficient, b. the band started at 8pm (not too late), c. atmosphere was ok. Now for the not so good. A. No, non-smoking area. B. Food was very ordinary and serving size is small. We ordered Fish and Chips, there was more batter than fish. Caesar salad serving was more a side salad than main course. The best was the trio of sliders, small but tasty.

Overall, with so many other restaurant to choose from in Senayan City, it’s best to choose another. But go there if you want to listen to the band. I wished...
