Hoshino Coffee, Senayan City outlet — Restaurant in Jakarta

This Hoshino Coffee outlet were located at the LG of Senayan City and sadly on an Indoor Smoking Area of the food outlet, which is a little bit uncomfy for a non-smoker. But thankfully they had a special seating area for those who didn't smoke inside of it. We went here at Weekend on Lunch Time here's what we ordered: Fruit Iced Tea A very refreshing cold and sweet tea for sharing with 2 people, the fruit consisted of apple, peach, kiwi, orange, plum, etc. And it wasn't very sweet Pot-Baked Curry Rice A Claypot-baked curry rice with Beef sausages, broccoli and Onsen Tamago / Hot spring Egg topped with cheese, the look might trick you thinking this is a light dish but turn out it was very filling. The curry were nice and rich Beef Stew Omurice A beef stew..but with an Omurice hidden below it were the classic tomato fried rice, the stew tasted very good yet..there's not much Beef Chunk in it. Beef chunk were soft and not mushy which is a good thing, while the omelette and the stew complements eachother. Matcha Souffle Pancake (Double) A souffle pancake consisting of Matcha Ice cream, Chocolate Chunk, Strawberry and Matcha Syrup. The souffle were soft and cooked perfectly, it wasn't very sweet and the matcha weren't overpowering it. We absolutely demolished this thing even with full stomach

Would love to go back on a less packed day, overall a 4.3/5 experience we were just bummed due to the outlet located inside the Indoor Smoking Area and most of the menu weren't ready due to the Lunch Hour...

Horrible, horrible, horrible quality of food with absurdly high price.

Saturday morning, me and my wife came to this place excited to have a nice brunch. The place stood out because of its cozy and warm ambience. We imagined our brunch experience to be very satisfying and couldnt wait to tell others about the discovery we had. Zero guests despite the many tables hadnt warned us enough.

We ordered french fries with mentaiko sauce, two japanese iced coffee, chicken katsu curry and salmon wasabi cream sauce. When the food was served, our excitement turned into utter disappointment.

French fries was wet, cold, and oily

Chicken katsu curry, the chicken was rubbery and seemed to have been in the refrigerator a long time

Salmon wasabi cream sauce, the epitome of disappointment. i had to send back the dish because the spaghetti was very blend with no flavor what so ever. It looked nothing like what they had advertised on their menu. A big shame especially when they list this as their special recommendation

I will never come back to this place again unless significant amount of improvements are made. Big shame on...

Went there on a weekend it was damn packed but we were lucky we got a seat in the non-smoking section.

Ordered the Carbonara with Mentaiko which was amazing. Plenty of the mentaiko, the creaminess was not over powering and the pasta was cooked just right. Also ordered salad which came in a really small portion but taste good.

I was kind of disappointed with the Omu Rice - we ordered the one with beef slices. The first time it came the beef was cooked medium well whereas I ordered medium rare, and since the service was short staffed that day plus it was packed so we’ve waited quite some time and I have to wait longer because they have to replace it. When the order came for the second time, it was medium rare but still hard to chew. The rice was tomato fried rice covered with the egg but the egg was more like an omellette and not fluffly or soft enough like what I usually have for Omu Rice. Was this because they were terribly short staffed so everything was rushed including the food? Anyway it was not bad but not as my expectation either. Will try another day when it wasn’t packed.

Price is steep so...
